You know, I'll have a smug look on my face every time I see a Dominar 400. Because the Honda has got a more advanced engine on a 5 year old bike.

Quite possibly Bajaj has kept engine components at a more basic level to reduce the price, while offering customers bling, looks, and some pretty little lights to look at.

No doubt honda engineering will be more advanced but as a whole package the price is justified as of now. Another 6-7 months and truth will be out as of what bajaj has really done

        Is it a gud buy?
Also i havnt checked the bike in person, have just seen the pics. I plan to see the bike tomorrow. What are the things which i should check when i see the bike?
Is it ok if the bike was parked most of the time after coming out of showroom? 2k kms in 2.5 is too less.
Would be very grateful to get some suggestions.
        Thanks in advance
That checklist is a pretty common question and i believe its answered as many times in this same thread. Please do search the thread. Sorry if im being rude.

Regarding less kms in long period, check for rusts disk plates, petrol tank, frame, hard rubber on tyres(especially if the bike is in around a coastal area with sea breeze) and service history. You had to have ridden a CBR to spot the difference with the engine health. I advise you to take a mechanic or someone who knows about the CBR. And price, 1.10L would be a sweet spot if everything is perfect.

Hope it turns out well for ya. All he best.
        Ride Safe!

        Cheers,

          True

True, but that smug look will be followed by a few tears as the Dominar rider overtakes and cruises at higher speeds, when we gotta wring the hell outta our Hondas just to keep up... I ride with a group of 390's ninja's and R3's... I'm the heaviest person there with the least powered bike! No complaints though, i dont think the others have a sweet suspension setup as the CBR, and i hate revving the engine to higher rpms, but sometimes, it can't be avoided you know...

Yeah, that would be momentary pain, keeping up with the bigger bikes. Yamaha has no plans to localise the r3, I've heard. As of now, it costs double, of the CBR std price.

Please search Mr H V Kumar's forum on Facebook for relevant road info. Road Conditions in MP vary from very good on some state highways/NH to downright terrible at the Jhabua stretch and internals (Guna, roads to Gwalior etc)
Mandu, Orcha, Panchmarhi, Bhedaghat and Khajuraho are places you could check out. If you're into wildlife, Bandhavgarh and Kanha.

Brothers need your opinion on this issue.

My chain tends to jump at little at a point, it also seems to move slightly to the right at that point. I will post the video I took this morning here. I have also changed the chain with sprockets recently, it's about 7k with the new chain. This issue was also present on the old chain and one of the reason I changed it. Is this a problem with wheel alignment or the chain sliders?

                          Hello,

Is anyone using MRF zappers? How is the grip in the wet and in gravels? How about the cornering?
