Re: Honda CBR 250R
Will do that, I am considering switch to k&n stock air filter HA-2511 model purely cause its durable, has anyone else changed it? Keep in mind its a stock air filter replacement and not a racing one soo I'm guessing it doesn't need air fuel tuning, I am heavily considering getting a power box and this air filter change to go with the stock exhaust .Originally posted by leech View Post

Boss what is a suit filter? Haven't heard of it.Originally posted by Pruthviraj View PostChange your suit filter, fuel filter, clean the throttle body and petrol tank and while filling petrol ensure that it is pure and free from any adulteration. Also using good quality petrol additive or octane booster is best practice.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
you could easily change just the foam at a local shop that does such work. There are plenty of such folks who do a very good job.Originally posted by Deathwing View Postis it better to change the stock seat to a new stock one or just change the foam of it which works out cheaper, any idea the cost of the rear shock set?
"Stock replacement" air-filter means (when it comes to k&n) that it fits without any modification in to the existing air filter housing. It doesn't mean that it has the same filtration specs as a stock filter. This filter (HA-2511) is also a "High-flow" filter, so it allows more air thru but it's filtration part might not be as good as the stock one.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostWill do that, I am considering switch to k&n stock air filter HA-2511 model purely cause its durable, has anyone else changed it? And am sure it cost's a bomb (maybe at-least Rs.4000).. So instead just replace the stock air filter every 6k km and that would be economical and you have new filter every change (proper care i.e. cleaning and reoiling for a k&n filter is a pain, and again their 'cleaning kit' costs you more money).

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Ok. Is that German type? How about the installation? Do we need any cut-out or relay sort of thing? I am planning to install a decently loud horn and auxilary lights and I don't intend to push-start that heavy metal chunk. [emoji16]Originally posted by leech View PostI have. Bosch dual tone. Works for the past 3 years, needed servicing last month because of the water and dust inside. Cost me ₹600 including fitting on Dec 2013.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
There is no need for relay, the seller told me; it's a 4 amp horn. They just attached an extra wire to the horn connection for the dual horns, since the CBR came with single horn in 2012.Originally posted by Mayankisme View PostOk. Is that German type? Aux lights, please see a few pages back. Sman99, avrsstreetracer and argee use them.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
You need a 30 amp relay for the pair of loud horns and for auxiliary lights also it is necessery. Ironhorse has installed a pair of led lights on the frame sliders with a separate wiring harness, he can guide you better. Can we tag him here?Originally posted by Mayankisme View PostOk. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Sure, that would be great. I made a random search on amazon and found some aux light but they are mostly flood type. They might be good for off-roading/ city riding stuff but I am not very sure of their functionality on freeways.Originally posted by Pruthviraj View PostYou need a 30 amp relay for the pair of loud horns and for auxiliary lights also it is necessery. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Well, I wanted an aux light too. But a couple of users who fitted them told me there wasn't any noticeable benefit when you're blinded by incoming car/trucks. They look good in pitch dark conditions, but under street lights and incoming lights, it's not that effective. Thus my search ended. Currently I have a Phillips Xtreme vision 60/55w bulb fitted which gives around 10-15% more light than the stock bulb under incoming lights.Originally posted by Mayankisme View PostSure, that would be great. These are the images of auxiliary lights on Ironhorse's bike.

These horns are installed on my bike.

[emoji16]If you guys are looking for aux light, better find the one which gives yellow light(which is actually a fog light). This will give you better visibility in fog, and it might also help you little bit when blinded by oncoming vehicles(as most of them uses pure white light to blind usOriginally posted by leech View PostWell, I wanted an aux light too. ). But will strain/tired the eyes when using it in normal condition for longer time due to the color nature.
I too have a aux light which is white LED flood type, It easily gets disappeared under street light but gives best illumination under completely dark conditions. If you have time better go to the shop and check the light output first hand and decide whether it will be good to have or not.
I have brought mine from ebay under the reference of one of our xbhp member. Since i was looking for better illumination in dark conditions, white light serves me very good.
In short,
White Light - Good illumination with fine details(like small pebbles, road joints/patchs) are visible under good or perfect conditions.
Yellow Light - Good visibility in not so good condition with sacrifices made on minute details.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
They are either Bosch or Hella, I had them for 700/1000 don't remember, it was long time back and the current drawn will be around 4 or 5 amps max for the pair. I was also in the dilemma, why relay is needed but was explained that it works as a switch so no over drawn or short circuit issues will occur.Originally posted by leech View PostPruthviraj whats the ampere draw of those horns? Are they Bosch too?
Also if you sit on the bike left side horn is installed in the place of oe single horn and for right side horn a simple L shaped bracket around 30mm *5mm*70mm was made the hole size is 8mm.It fits with the engine mount nut bolt.
