Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi Friends,
I need some advice on what could be the problem here.
I have a 2017 Abs model approx 31k odo.
Continuing from last post where bike was showing starting problem, and it was identified as a stator coil issue.
Also oil was coming out of the head which was fixed by changing the packaging.
Post Delivery and change of Coil.
Observations :
1. While leaving the ASC the bike was feeling so relaxed, more punchy.
2. The throttle response was so crisp and sweet at the same time that i can't explain. Even earlier i thought of selling cbr and buying a ninja 300r, but with this smooth accelaration and throttle response it felt like, i am riding in heavens. I mean the bike never felt like this even when it was new.
I do not know what was the reason behind it.
3. Before taking delivery, I got a chance to test ride one more cbr repsol edition of a xbhp member(not sure who it was) who has given the bike for service at the same ASC. My impressions were that, why My bike was so vibey and with a heavy throttle.. I Wanted mine to perform like this one. So I think by default the CBR is very relaxed with little to no vibrations. Mine is a different case.
4. There were no vibrations, i need to check my speedo to find that sometime I am goign over 8k rpm
Things changed post delivery:
1. Switched the tyres back to old Metzeler m5 150/60 since I was not getting the confidence in Ralco speedblaster.
Post tyre change there were some vibrations introduced though the throttle was still crisp.
2. Changed back to Ralco as the previous set felt bad. With MRF FX1 100/80 front and Metzler 150/60 rear it felt bad. May be because the front is not standard or radial 110/70
3. Even going back to the Ralco the vibrations didn't subdued, and for some reason it felt the alignment is not correct as the bike was turning to the left easily.
4. With help of paddock and thread method tried doing doing alingment but i think I failed. Put in everything back with both side adjustment screws at same location, I felt thats safe.
5. Post this the rear tyre whenever I move there is a khat-khat-khat sound.
6. Vibrations increased and everything went to normal. Throttle response again went to hard or not crisp.
I am really desperate to get the throttle response back and vibrations to be reduced.
Not sure where and how to get this sorted.
I stay in Gurgaon.>>>>Beware of Zombies<<<<

But why? Aren't you not satisfied with what the SS offered by Nissin? I would love to know more on that. Secondly, are these genuine Brembos? I know, for sure, there are tons of counterfeit knock-off Brembo parts that are sold at dirt cheap price. They look, feel and are almost identical to the genuine ones. But, do let us know the the thought process and where you got this from and your usage feedback.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostBrembo Brake Pads for my Bike.

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Aftermarket sintered brake pads give little bit better bite and less fade.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostBut why? Aren't you not satisfied with what the SS offered by Nissin? I did a racing training (Level 1 + Level 2), and want to do track days regularly and go for Adv. Lvl. training also.
Hence, all these things you will notice on my bike, like a double bubble windscreen, rearsets etc.
Yes, i also dont know whether they are original or duplicate, will come to know only while using them.
Galfer ones i used to purchase from Performance Racing Store, but they dont have now, hence online purchase.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I was just about to order EBC sintered pads. Any reasons why you didn't opt for EBC? I was aware only of Galfer and EBC pads as alternative for stock nissin. Good to know about the brembo pads, hope they serve you well buddyOriginally posted by princesirohi View PostAftermarket sintered brake pads give little bit better bite and less fade.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello fellow riders!
I own a Cbr250r which i bought in 2015. I really loved the candy ruby red colour which came on pre-2013 models. I wish to change my bike's colour to the same. For that i am thinking of wrapping the bike. Could anybody here please tell me the cost of wrapping the whole bike? For the wheels, what could be the best option? -wrapping or powder coat and please shed some light on the costs of the same. The wrap should sustain for atleast 3-4 years as i do not plan to sell my bike soon. I am from Pune. Riders from Pune please suggest some good shops which work on wrap and powder coat of wheels. If the wrap is too costly i would aslo think of changing the fairings as i think the cost around 1300 Rs per piece.
Thank You!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I haven't wrapped my bike but I did repaint it, but I have one friend here in Chennai who does wrapping and he charges around 8-14k for wrapping but he uses the 3M material usually and prices changes based on the material used and color etc , also I don't think there's any wrap out there that would last 3-4 years, at most you can expect them to work for a max 2 years. And coming to wheels, the powder coating is better option than normal painting but if it get scratched you will have to redo entire rim not just scratched parts, for that reason I went with normal paint so that in scratches can be easily covered at home.Originally posted by pushu097 View PostHello fellow riders!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I bought a pre-used CBR tri color two years back and was informed by the owner that he changed all panels and tank from the original ruby red to HRC color scheme at cost of approx. 15k since tank alone costs around 7-8 k. The fit and finish is excellent and is holding up good even after close to 5 years now. If you have the budget, I'd say go for the original Honda panel replacement rather than repaint/wrap since there is a good chance that the final output may not turn out as desired. Even on short budget, I'd replace the fairings and get the tank wrapped to match the fairing color of choice. The advantage of this is that you can easily go back to your original body color as per your RC if need be.Originally posted by pushu097 View PostHello fellow riders!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
The cost of the wrapping depends from city to city. Wrapping could range from 10k-40k INR. For wheels, wrapping is a bad idea. Powder coating should be the way to go. No wrap will sustain for 3-4 years. After all, the bike is a moving object. People sit on it, you put saddle bags, it takes in all kind of weather, etc etc. The wrap will eventually have undulations/cuts/deformations due to all these factors. Changing the fairings can also be a good idea if you think it is feasible, but, make sure you change the colour of the bike on your RC card from your local RTO too.Originally posted by pushu097 View PostHello fellow riders!
