I was on faridabad gurgaon highway riding my CBR at 70km/hr
I opened the throttle a bit and boy it miss fired like a carb bike
it was 3 times in a row, it was like spark plug just died or fuel supply was slashed. Have ridden bike around 100 km after that but didn't noticed it again.

Any one of you encountered this problem.

    2. Bike fairing gives rattling sound past 7k rpm upto 4th gear, have tightened at the bolts, noise comes from consol.

    3. These is another noise from consol, it feels like some screw has loosen up, i told SVC guys about it but they could not resolve it.

    Bike has clocked 3200 km

First service done at 800km (mineral oil + oil filter)
Second service(paid) at 2800 km (FS oil + oil filter), got this service done just because I wanted to switch to FS.
2nd and 3rd problem are wid mine too.
don't know fairing gives rattling or getting that sound from eingen @ 7k rpm.
    and
solved 3rd problem myself while it sound like chuk chuk somewere near console has given it dose 2-3 times wid my punch and its fine now

can anyone help wid 2nd point ?

rattling is very evident as mentioned in 2nd-3rd and 4th gear past 6.5k rpm. its like everything around makes noise. infact stopped and check but nothing. everything seems to be attached strongly. not sure what was that. maybe just the engine.

rvm's loosen up pretty quickly. so got myself an allen kry. tighten it myself when ever needed but they loosen up not due to the bike but people trying to play with the mirror while in the parking...

bike never misfired but runs out of breath between 3k-4k only in 1st and 2nd gear..

why would they put mineral oil when the bike comes with FS from factory itself.

Even i had a serious rattling issue in my bike which the svc failed to diagnose repeatedly. The problem got rectified when i detected the rattling is from speedo. Still whnn i went to the service center and complaint about the rattling issue, they said ok sir we will tighten all the fairing bolt. I told them not to open fairing but just check the speedo and it worked. Now no rattling at any rpm.

            • speedo reading with sprockets.

it was mentioned that the bike reads speed with a sensor and take readings from the front sprockets..

so did some reverse engineering.. forcing the bike to skid and fish tail. that locked up the wheel in return locked the sprockets as well. the meter was still showing the speed.

and this was tried with clutch pressed and vice -versa.

so if the sensor was taking speedo readings from the sprockets how did it still showed the speed for next 2 seconds..

No once a hmsi guy told me that the speed is measured from ECU

WHY? If you were Ninja browsing xbhp you would know it wasnt recommended. Besides anything below 4k in the 5th and 6th would be lugging the engine which is bad!

This was discussed earlier as well, and I'm attaching an extract from the service manual again. The part numbered '7' is the sensor assembly for speedo.

                              Thanks Guys

as u know i was die hard wanna'be of GT250R and already booked it a month back

and now due to all these stupidness of the DSK-H [i mean it] i decided to hold off my purchase till next 18 months or so. well my expected price of that was 2.5L ex-show but now its 25k overshoot of budget.. even though i went ahead and get it ..still the value will be dropped once the so called 18month low price bikes arrives.
so logical step would be wait till then and proceed [still i am ready to go for it if its reduce price to some 25k].

as i need a replacement for my 4year old R15 .. the easiest and more efficient upgrade would be CBR250R ... why ?? read below

                              1. more practicle and i planned lot of trips this years some of which long distance
                              2. very friendly to pocket
                              3. very capable machine.
                              4. my 2nd fav bike which i admire most [sorry ninja ]

so my idea would be ..sell my R15 from which worst case i get around 50K .. and buy a CBR250R used one .. for around 1.2L-1.3L max and use it for next 2 years before going it to GT250R .. and it would be easy for me to keep CBR once GTR purchased in future..

so to all wise guys .. plz give ur some suggestion about my thought

and plz let me know if u come across anyone decided/knows selling/available CBR

next to impossible. for i tried pushing the bike on slope when bought it new while parking and even while pushing it in opposite direction while the engine is off . just the ignition is on ( engine kill switch to off) it still shows the speed.
