I agree aargee. I found that changing my posture regularly helps in reducing pain in wrists. Also, holding the handle bar lightly i.e. not pressing the lower end palm against the handle bar does help in reducing wrist pain.

My pain was for an entirely different reason though

Btw, aargee, did you come across any radiator or rad guards there? I found one (for the CBR250r 2011) on an Australian website but was expensive! (i think 179 AUD).

It may be in the stores, but, I'm not looking to buy them. Its better to clean the radiator & leave it open for what it is engineered to do. @Adisakke - I couldn't reply for you since I couldn't see the "Quote" button for your reply. But the reply remains the same.

@Metal_Maniac - You never got the point, you still pass the buck & find excuses. Like I said before, if you find something that you need, are serious about it & doesn't weight too much, then keep me posted. We'll discuss & take it from there.

        • Check out the metal scrapes on the oil filter..:P... (this is why we insist on changing the oil in less than 300 km once).

          & Expect the 150R soon.

Coming to the oil filter, those who had got it replaced earlier, did they give the same "Made in Thailand" piece? .. or Indian made product?

          • First Service Mishap : Gave the bike for first service at pashankar honda service centre, kothrud, pune.

As expected there were no oil filters available.after taking the delivery of the bike i noticed some moisture on the instrument panel/dashboard.when i tried to wipe it off i realised it was inside the glass.when i checked carefully the glass had a crack and the silver coloured ring around it was also broken.

i immediately took the bike back to the service centre where they just kept looking at it again and again and finally said that they would replace it.when i asked for the required time,i was told that it would be informed by tomorrow.

With a heavy heart, i left the bike and came home walking over 4kms as i couldnt get an auto.
when i stepped into my house i got a call stating my bike was ready.i recalled that there was a display bike lying at the service centre and understood that they might have just replaced the glass from it.
that was exactly what they had done when i went back.

but there was still moisture and dried water marks on the inside of the newly fitted glass.i asked them to remove it and wipe it clean but they kept on insisting that it will go away in sunlight.but im sure the marks wont go.
anyways i couldnt insist on cleaning it as their workshop was about to close.

i was just relieved that i got the broken glass replaced.i can do with the watermarks.or i "have to" do with the watermarks.

later while going out, the service centre guy told me that the parts are not available and so they replaced it from the display bike.
im dead sure im not going to give my CBR back to that service centre for future services!!!

            seriously annoyed

            cheers.

What??? Did anyone even get a Thai piece? AFAIK, everyone in India, get only Made in India be it oil filter or RVM.

@Aniket - This is why, I'm paranoid leaving my bike at ASC & everytime I leave the bike, I apply leave to office Just check the possibility of getting things done under warranty. You may have to talk firm, polite & assertive to the ASC & talk to the head, no dealing with the bottom level guys.

                • @xxbomb - WOW!!! WOW!!! That's fantastic to hear; stock up some Thai parts as soon as possible; beg, borrow or steal if you have to. I think you're the first one to get the Thai parts fixed on your before I do

Edit - Let me compare the part number of the engine oil filter posted here & the one I posted several pages back & update

Edit - The part numbers are the same, just a difference that one is bought from US & other in India

yup, with no availability of parts its a fear leaving the bike at the ASC.
the bottom level guys dont let you go to the head.they just keep on asking you the problem.its a bunch of morons working at the honda service centres in India.
we just have to bear with minor problems and issues caused by them just to avoid getting bigger issues while fixing the minor ones!

Lol Don't scold them; the mechanics over there, just work for money; most of them don't work out of passion; I would work for free at any HD outlet part time provided they give me ride different bikes; that's not the kind of spirit they have. And when the passion lacks, the quality is lost & when the quality is lost, the end output is affected.

Not necessary; just take some precautionary measures.

Send an email to customer care (search back few pages) & the ASC's head will call you. Even if the head of ASC doesn't call, make sure to talk only with the head when someone calls from the ASC.

                          • Guys , just had a trip on the CBR which completed 1000kms and still pending 1st service. My friends bike . As, you can see , it dosent have mirrors and left indicator... He had a crash. No parts are available here... Attaching some pics of the trip . The guy in the pic is me, the CBR owner is in Dubai and gave the bike to me for servicing. The bike has heavy knocking, and I have noticed that the rear Bybre caliper is the same as that of p220.

While cornering to the right, the under side of the silencer screeched the road , be careful guys, it may lift you off.....
