    KN-111 - K&N Oil Filters, Oil Filter

Found in some other post a reply from Performance Racing saying they have oil filters for C250R, but don't know whether it is OEM or after market...
Yes even i was bit about that 249/250. Then I found they have mentioned 250RR as 250 and 250R as 249 .

    • Check back few pages & that's how the filter should look like. The one I posted was for CBR250R & NOT CBR250RR

I think it is time CBR 250 owners started looking beyond A.S.S for Oil Filters, and change them sooner than later,....to ensure clean oil in engine.
The Bajaj Caliber and Yamaha Fz oil filters almost match the stock CBR filters...( I don't know the flow rates or the heat range )....The Yamaha filter looks better with more pleats to offer larger filter surface area.

With only a few hundred bikes delivered problems reported are many as if a few hundred thousands have been sold....the ratio of number sold to number of complaints seems to be higher for this class of bike...already the thread has 240+ pages ,and many are canceling their booking.....at least two of my friends have.

              • Hope HMSI don't fail miserably on their 250cc segment!!! I don't know what's the reason, they've spares shortage all over including US. Or May be, Honda wants success only at Thailand (assumption)

But again, we really don't know if we're exageratting too much either; like Honda & no problem while we see some niggling issues & screaming. The problems are not that many as we see. Its only the vehicle not going past 140 Kmph & few parts getting rusted etc. So its only one issue.

Again, as a community we could check how many people's vehicle has issues too. May be an excel? Like I said before, DK's, Amlan's, Sudeep's, Nisarg's & few other's C250R are running fine.

I agree with you, even i have the rusting issue (in the fork-Handbar joint)
Yet to check with high speed, Just done 830 KMs (always less than 5k rpm 60- 80 kmph was the avearage) - can i raise the throtle to know the maximim speed limit?

A very good idea, make a google spreadsheet and every1 can update their problems in there along with their details. It will help to understand, is it only you or others also affected with same problem.

The shocking truth is - Yes you can, PROVIDED, you raise the speed gradually. Like to be on VERY safer side, take about a minute to reach 150 Kmph & test. Unless you're on NH7 on way to KK, you couldn't do that. But to be on very safer side. Ideally you should be doing 140 Kmph in say 30 secs or so. And never raise beyond 4.5 or 5K RPM upto 6th gear. Only in the 6th shoot past 5K RPM. Its a nice engine that really doesn't need a run in unlike other bikes. Just ensure to speed up gradually & remember NO sudden pickup even if you were chased by dogs!!!

                          I totally agree,aargee!!

start up a new thread or a spreadsheet..
even my bike has some issues but very minor ones and i can live with it..
                          some were initially there
like the "tik tik" noise from the front (most probably radiator)

and some are coming up slowly like a rusty chain, rusted RVM nuts, noisy radiator fan, left side fairing vibration (i think therz a nut loose/lost cus i never had any kind of vibrations before except a little vib in the left RVM while below 2-3K rpm).

                            • Hi guys!! Posting after a long long time..

@amlan: good to know you are not selling the bike.. Just take it along and you will definately find some good place to store it (passion makes you hunt ) i am not much familiar with the place though you atleast make sure if they have a good Honda svc there, that services CBR. Good luck.

@aargee: RG, can you also look out for some aftermarket stuff available there and post their pics or price?? Especially a double bouble or extended wind screen for cbr..

Had a 200km ride in heavy rain today. Everything seems to be fine except the tappet noise which is said to be done and resolved in second service . 3000kms on odo and only issues are Quality related. Surprising thing is, every time, it consumed about 4bars of petrol for the distance i covered today but today it took just one and half. (half because one bar went down only after about 3/4th journey. Dont know if its an issue with fuel indicator or my bike just gave me an astonishing FE..

Anyone tried any radiator guard?? Aftermarket or DIY? Mud just accumulated on it and is very tough to clean. Plus it has some small dents due to road stones

P.S: someone had made a spreedsheet for service and issues faced as i had suggested long back and there were a few updates in it too.. Just hunt and see if useful..

Didn't expect to hear this from you

Why do you guys simply ponder over the price before actually seeing the product? There's a lot of difference when you say "SEE THAT FOR ME" & "GET THIS FOR ME". First & foremost thing that comes to mind is passing the buck!!!

I've no issues getting things from here, but, pls DO NOT, come to me without your homework & that's pure laziness & I really can't accept that. A friend of mine said he wants Xena & the way he did was, showed me a link & told me this is what he needs, the price, the shop & everything. Now tell me, wouldn't you feel it nice if someone told you like that or simply pass the buck asking to find something from abstract?
