For basic commuting its just OK. Hard braking in wet is an issue esp.
            At the rear.

wont a 150/60 undergear the bike.. will give you better acceleration but the sensor mapping for speed and odo will go kaput

the top whack will reduce so the fuel efficiency ... wont the total circumference of the tyre will be lesser than that of a 140/70 ?
Ideally these are the ill effects of upsizing. But Speedo doesnt go kaput its just shows a small error. Anyway in this case the profile is lower which makes the overall dimension not so big.
Anyway I away right now and will need to check up on mileage and speeds.

              Oh ok..
              This was the route..
              New mumbai-NH17-Mangaon-Mahad-via SH96-Valote-Palgad-Gawalwadi-Dapoli-Anjarle

Actually, this was my return route.. While going went through some other route through goregaon (SH100) which comes after Mangaon on the left, which turned out to be a nightmare.. So would recommend you the above route via Mahad for going as well as back. One way should not be more than 230kms. This route is amazingly scenic & good with lesser bad patches.

Ya.. Frankly I loved it. Specially the route cutting through dense forest..

Sherwin, welcome to xBhp; this is an ownership thread, you may go through what you can expect out of CBR 250R from my signature.

For your question on planning a bike, pls use the "WHAT BIKE" section in this forum & get your question answered & pls spare this thread for owner's to discuss. Appreciate your understanding. TIA.

I have a quick question though. With all the issues with the cbr, do You guys think that it is worth the money? To me it doesn't look like a premium bike at all, it looks just like a unicorn with bigger displacement engine.
In any circumstances did you have an ID named 'extremerocker00'

Whatever the ID or whoever thinks they are insulting...I'm extremely happy about it because a few days ago I read it in FB...

Whoever tries to you put you down only shows that you're above them

How true it is, especially with this thread? 91 votes (I think one of THE HIGHEST votes in xBhp) yet we're at 4.45; the most striking feature is that, whoever rated this thread poor are cowards who don't have guts to post here saying what's wrong in this thread despite this is the thread where you can find everything at summary at one place with evidences of several members who were benefited with the ownership discussion who either stayed away or bought CBR 250R.

So every now & then some joker appears trying to put this down only shows we're above everyone else

I am one of them. This thread helped in consolidating my decision to go for a CBR. Bought it after going through the thread.

                            • I am posting it on behalf of my friend(non xbhpian) who owns a CBR . He owns a black CBR C-ABS and is planning to get the silver parts painted black. So I just want to know if its something simple. I am sorry if its already posted somewhere. Didn't had time and patience to search through the posts. I sincerely apologize to all the owners, since I am a non owner and I am posting it here.
BTW this extremerocker00 has created a mess on Duke 200 thread as well just checked it out. I was inactive for the past few days.

Not complicated process; if you're in Chennai, approach Didar motors; though they charge a little more, they do the job. Otherwise, ask your friend to join the Chennai CBR 250R Club (link posted under my signature), folks have done similar job done but on RED & they will be helpful to redirect to right place.

You don't have to be sorry; there's no hard & fast rule that only owners has to make post here, all we insist is, make useful post no matter you're an owner or not.

Look at PSR Sir's post; he's a non owner some of the posts he contributes, some of the posts he learns. What ideally required here (for that matter any forum, any thread be it ownership or non ownership) open mind & willingness to learn instead of OT's & arguments for no reason.
