    Incorrect & misleading information!
Idle RPM can be set on the R15, which like you pointed out is an FI bike.
    See this: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...-idle-rpm.html

Most (if not all) FI bikes come with an idling speed adjustment screw.

Are sure its the palm? The pain would be on the right wrist..
The right wrist does work of wringing the throttle (& using the brake lever), while the left wrist only uses the clutch lever. Hence weight + wringing effort would induce pain on the right wrist, & not the left one.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

He is talking about choke. He mean that there will be no choke in FI models, which will be taken care by ECU. As we use chokes at cold starts, FI will set high RPM when you start the bike when its cold and settle at the idle RPM when it's warmed up. So normally everyone used to start bikes and wait for 2 mins (depends) for the RPM to idle, when we start the bike for the first time on a day.

Different bikes could have different idle RPM and it can be adjusted, as you have mentioned.

Also.. where did you get that tank pad man!! i wanna get that one..
Sorry for the late reply, was facing some issues with the internet.

There are 3 free services provided. The first one to be done within 1000kms or 3 months whichever is earlier. Personally I think first service at around 700kms sounds sensible.

Got the tank pad from mulund. Had to order it as he didnt keep it in stock.

The C-ABS system is like investing your money on your riding, that too one which you can never forget back home. It works like a charm, one never notices it presence as there is no different pulse or anything on the brake levers. But one thing I noticed is when braking over sand below say 10-15 kmph the ABS doesn't stop the wheels from lock. The front wheel actually skids to a stop. But the other day I also tried the same on my friends VW Polo and it also behaved the same way.
(Not comparing just putting things into perspective.)

yes.. The cbr does have an idle adjustment screw.. And i think every bike would have it.. My point was the ASC guys not knowning about it..

And its my palm that pains after a 10-15kms ride.. And not the wrist..

@ stig: thanks for the info man! I am thinking of a oil & oil filter change now..(from my mechanic) @ 200kms and then wait till 1000kms for 1st service.. Would that be fine.. As i have heard of tiny metal pieces from engine friction during run-in.. I think of doing so.. And i would be leaving for nasik in 4-5days and would only return back after mid-june.. And i also cant get free service done before i leave as i am yet to get a manual..
The tankpad looks cool.. Would like to get one.. i have put on a local one as of now.. Looks good but doesnt seem durable..

totally wrong, the "so called premium bulbs" DO NOT PROVIDE ANY IMPROVEMENT IN ILLUMINATION THEN stock bulbs of same ratings.they are a total waist of money.learned the heardway but it is the truth.my experience?well a pair of phillips extream power in my swift,2 pair of nighbreker in my scorpio,1 pair of bluevision in my maruti zen,,,,not at all worth it.
go for stock or go for an upgread with more wattage or hid.the only way.

thanx man! That saves some of my money btw, the stock bulb is surprisingly amazing.. Its some Made in Japan.. And i totally trust japanese..
maybe hid would be an option when i get the heart to cut fit a projector in the stock dome..

Bike was super stable no wobble and yes she was ready to hit Rev limiter right away but then i think Redlining job can be done after 1st service.

Can any body help me at what kms is the first service to be done?
It was more of a test run than Ride for me . Hey Metal Maniac even i was advised same and when i took it to ride it was already 300+kms and 142 was just for a few secs just to chk how bike is doing after injector cleaning . The 1st service is 1month or 1000kms as per manual .

Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Even I had heard abt the metal pieces scraping off the engine during run-in so had an early oil change in my Ninja. But to my surprise when I checked the oil that had been removed there were no such metal pieces, so i dont think there is a NEED to change the oil, but if it gives you a piece of mind then go ahead and do it.

Went to the service center to again try and get my mis-aligned clip-ons fixed but they said it was not adjustable . So had ordered a new set of clip-ons. And there is still no spare part available with them, not even an oil filter to replace in the first service.

                            • I've Philips Xtreme on my Rx, as such there isn't a big difference in the output of any 60/55 or Philips Xtreme, however, the throw DOES matter. With Philips Xtreme the high beam throw is thrown at quite a large distance compared to ordinary 60/55.
