hey sudeepOriginally posted by sudeepnbr View PostYes, totally agree. Need some rubber in between. Else the grab rails will get scratches.
is it not time to put up charts in excel sheet! we can see how many got bikes delivered and from where! and also some other data about colors etc!

Don't really have the track of who all got their bikes delivered. And the "Proposed Date of Delivery" column is useless. May be 1-2 people from the whole list might get it on the exact date. So can't rely on that to decide that.Originally posted by ASIF AHMED View Posthey sudeep

However, this is the chart for Colors and ABS/Non-ABS...

P.S.: I don't create these charts myself. Since these two columns were drop down lists, Google automatically creates these charts when I see the summary of records.

My 1st Short ride report
After 2 sleepless nights and very tiring schedule i finally got call from Vihan honda that my bike is ready and running like Makhaaan(butter) ...! after completing all formalities got my bike and straight away went for a short ride . bike felt relax was even vibrations was gone .
1> Handling is superb though i migh loose confidance if you tend to brk hard before corner as fron is too soft . I was doing 100kmph on most of corners .
2> Brks are not as per 250cc machine . Rear brk is too soft
3> Tyre grip is excellent but again bike started drifting ( least i felt so) on loose gravel but on wet patches there is no such issue .
4> and no need to say a single world on Power delivery of this machine
touched 142kmph @ 8.5RPM
.
any ways am going on another ride cia soon .Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Hi Metal_Meniac, As u said there was some knocking, could you find out the reason for it. How did the tech. solve the issue.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostMy bike knocked a bit and i needed to shift two gears down at a time on every sharp turn or speedbreaker.. i was also not able to set the time on it.. :P
Hope its not a major issue that all bikes would suffer.

you just got your machine.. And 142, 8.5krpm?? No run-in? Or following the hard run-in motoman way? I have been advised by the cbr technician to keep the bike below 5k till atleast 3-400kms and 6-7krpm till 1000kms..Originally posted by abhiwar View Posttouched 142kmph @ 8.5RPM

Can any body help me at what kms is the first service to be done? You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

on the speedo it may go around 165-171, there are some videos on the youtube. 171kmph was attained by some lil bit of tweaking i guessOriginally posted by aargee View Post156 speedo; -9% on GPS

yes.. Its very well solved.. He just took a short ride and found that the clutch setting isnt proper.. Took me to the workshop and was fixed in about 10secs..Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostHi Metal_Meniac, As u said there was some knocking, could you find out the reason for it. Thanks
rode it for some 15kms after that and its very very good now.. The problem is gone.. i have an issue with the gear shifter still.. He told me to just ride it the way it is as of now.. As it is company's setting.. If i dont get used to it till the first service, he will do it as per my needs.. And i think thats a good idea.. I was going to do it myself before meeting him as its just a small job.. But now i will wait till first service..
Now only one thing i am worried about..the clipons are perfectly aligned on my bike.. But still i feel pressure and pain on my right palm.. Its just on the right one (throttle) and left palm is just fine.. I am 5'7 and weigh 75kgs and naturally i put some of my upper body weight on the handlebars.. But then why only right palm? Even the throttle is smooth and easy.. I think it would be solved as i get accustomed to the position as nothing seems wrong in the bike.. But if it doesnt, it will be very difficult as i am planning a 180kms trip after 5days.. (i faced similar issue on my r15 which i gave it to my brother then.. But that was uncomfortable on both my palms)
thanks ravi.. I have heard (actually read) a lot about them.. And is definately on my wishlist since beginning.. But i think i will first get used to this lighting and so can notice the improvement in the later.. So its away for a month or two.. Got to get a lot of stuff before it.. A new matching and a safer helmet..(my vega offroad, without the cap part just is uncomfortable over 70kmph.. But i am thinking if should go for LS2 or not as its lot heavier than my vega).. Then some security system, mirrors, a paddock, and then lighting..Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostReplace the stock bulb with either Osram Nightbreaker or Philips NightVision. Thanks bro, a lot of concerns addressed for me and others. Honda would always speak quality. As for the right palm pain, hope it goes of with getting used to the bike. Good luck.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View Postyes.. Its very well solved.. He just took a short ride and found that the clutch setting isnt proper.. These bikes cannot be ridden with your whole pressure on your arms. You need to cling on to your tank with your inseam(thighs, legs), thereby leaving ur arm tension free. This also helps u making turnings easier. Besides that, make sure you keep your back upright. You need to bend forward from your hips, not your waist.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostNow only one thing i am worried about..the clipons are perfectly aligned on my bike..
