  • Even I tanked it up today, calculated avg. using full tank to full tank method,
    Petrol:62.36/ltr
    Total amt:490rs
    Kms ridden:220kms
    Kmpl:28

Was expecting more than 28 to be honest, but wasnt really taking it easy as I managed to touch abt 125kmph on it and it has only 250kms on the odo...

@Metal Maniac: Congrats mate!!! Hope to meetup sometime soon.
so finally was it the display bike you took delivery of?

@Sudeepnbr: Even the manual mentions exactly all the tools seen in the pic (Got my manual a couple of days ago). Do you guys think it will be worth visiting the showroom???

Can the owners confirm? I read these things on an International forum. But forgot to check myself when I was doing the Test Ride.

i think 28kmpl for mix iding (ciy and highway) is just fine . though u might get around 32kmpl if you ride only on highways.
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

            • Here is a review from a person in another forum. -----

Got my black non-abs on saturday. 100 miles so far.

First impresssions are light, nimble, and quick to turn in. front brake is a two-finger, excellent modulation, rear brake is good as well. Handling is stable, can tighten or loosen line with no complaints. Slightly squirrly over a section of rain grooved pavement, probably front tire diameter and/or width - nothing scary, just noticable.

Significant power starts around 4k, haven't gone much past 7k yet. Cruised a short distance at 70mph, comfortable with a slight buzz, but the bike doesn't get blown around as much as you think it might. Dealer mechanic rode it before i did, said it has more bottom end than the Kawa EX250 - they sell them as well. I have to take his word on that, haven't ridden the other bike. Clutch is nice - smooth easy engagement, very Honda-like.

Instrumentation is excellent. Analog tach, fuel and temp bar gauges, digital speedo. digital Trip odometer. Idiot light for oil. LCD reads well in direct sunlight and shade, doesn't vibrate (at least below 7k). Stand switch - bike won't start with the stand down, cuts off if you shift out of neutral with it down.

I'm 5-8, 175lbs, 30" inseam. Bike fits well, is comfortable but haven't ridden more than 30 miles in a single session yet so need more data. With riding boots, I come within 1/2" of flat-footing both sides at a stop. Not much space under the fairing for a GPS, I'll probably throw mine on top of the tank bag when I need it rather that do my Rube Goldberg impression. There is room for a PowerLet left or right of the instruments.

Sound is decent, hate the silver heat guard. Going to color the guard short term, get a pipe long term.

Scant storage under the seat, tools suck (1 allen wrench). Seat locks, has hanger cable for your helmet,

Cortech Mini tank bag fits perfectly, much bigger than that is going to be iffy.

Dealer wants it back at 600 for initial checkup, then on 4k intervals after that. He'll get the 600 just to solidify the warranty (I did not get extended). I may take in in at 4k, but I've always done my own maintenance and plan to do so on this one.

Besides the tank bag, bought a stand pad for asphalt - stored under seat. (not counting safety gear).

Overall impression, I'm pumped. It's a sweet little bike. Looking forward to enjoying it for a long time.

              Ride Safe!

              Luke

              ------

Is this the stand indicator/switch sudeep was talking about? What's the funda here? The bike will not start when stand is down?

I have taken a few snaps in daylight.. But damn!! My internet isnt working.. (now on cellphone)

@stig: bro i need an urgent help.. I dint receive the manual of the bike.. So i need a bit of help.. What rpm does your bike idle? And is it constant? My bike is idling at around 17-1800rpm and sometimes it drops to 1500.. Also i feel the gear shifter too high and need a lot of effort to upshift.. Though.. Its smooth..so did you face the same and got it adjusted? The workshop here is clueless and they dont even know what rpm it should idle on.. and if you get time, can you take snaps of the do's & donts in the manual(imp pages) and post them?

For this regard, can we make a list of things that we should ensure at the time of delivery? Keep adding as I miss out.
                    1. Tool Set
                    2. Manual
                    3. ???

I will be getting my bike hopefully before this weekend, as per Saphire Honda, somehow I do not believe that. Owners, can we please have this list.

                    Thanks

                      Can anyone put some info:-

                      1. Quantity of Engine Oil and changing period according to manual/honda

                      2. Quantity of Radiator Oil and draining period according to manual/honda.

                      3. What is the extra maintenance needed in ABS version over STD version ? If possible cost too?

Hmmm, I was expecting 30+ under any riding conditions. But looks like that was a bit over expecting.

Even my bike behaves the same during idling. The increased revs while start up are to quickly get the engine upto operating temps.

The gear shifter was a big pain in the A**. Hence got it resolved just the other day after taking it to the service center. It is actualy was a one second job, if possible get it done through vihaan honda.

In the words of the manual abt the break-in,"Help assure your vehicle's future reliability and performance by paying extra attention to how you ride during the first 500kms

During this period, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration"
