    • A correction to my previous post: What I meant was that between refills, the qty of fuel input was 8.5 ltrs. The service engineers suggested that we fill up as early as possible, once the last bar on the fuel indicator starts flashing. They say atleast 3 ltrs of fuel is supposed to be maintained to avoid damage to the pump and entry of air into the fuel system. But on the R15, I ahd run upto 80kms after the reserve kicked in, and had no problems with the pump.

But, always prevention is better than cure, so better start filling once the last bar starts to flash

One problem with the above is that the guage is not very accurate, and I hear is the problem with all digital displays. One moment the bike will show two bars of fuel; park it and start her up again, and it's in reserve!! But as the kms accumulate, we'll get a fair idea of how many kms can be done on a full tank, before the 'fill- fuel' indicator starts flashing. This is important on long rides, especially in unknown areas, where there might not be a fuel station for a considerable distance. Also, on night rides, not many 24 hr pumps to be found, except on expressways and NH. So, knowing how much longer you can continue, or when we should fill up is really important

      • Gyus, one question, which fuel do you use? Normal or premium petrol?
        Honda Activa (2011)
        TVS Apache RTR 180 (2013)
        TVS Victor GLX(2004-2013)

So far I've been using Xtra-premium only.

          Yamaha FZ-S (2008-2011)
          Honda CBR250 ABS (2011 -

Why the surprise? Just because i have a ninja?

The honda is an equally good bike too.

In hindsight if the CBR was around at the time i bought the ninja and if they were on par with the customer focus that bajaj is providing the ninja owners today i would have gone with the CBR and saved a lakh... thats a lot of money

All the best on your new bike

                    • Correction: The CBR comes with only one trip meter. The R15 had 2 Never really used both trip meters, so I guess one is enough.

Only one trip meter definitely meets the purpose.

Nope; I'd loved even more if had two trip meters. One to measure the distances locally travelled & the other one to use to calculate mileage. Anyway, I can use ODO alternatively for this purpose as well.

Well, I forgot to use the term individualistic satisfaction . By the way, getting so much dependent on technology would ruin the min of efforts we should carry out every day.
