When the parts are kept separate, disassembled, trust me they are looking real carbon fibre material..

        Hi Raneet,

Thanks for the comment. That encourages me a bit

        This is only the beginning.
Just a try to see how carbon fiber looks on the V2.
I am also planning to skin the items I did in the vinyl and the side panels also in real carbon fiber.
It will take some time but I am definitely going to do it.
I will be procuring some material from a UK website "Carbon Fibre Skinning Starter Kit".
Once done I will start the skinning process one by one as it takes some time to cure and get the final result.
Meanwhile planning to get a visual idea as to how to do it.

        Until then keeping fingers crossed.

        Cheers

              • Got the delivery yesterday, will post some pice later today...
                first and immediate impression -
                1. almost 40kms done..no issues with riding position, no pain in wrist and back.
                2. even in short distance ride the engine turns quite hot - is that normal?
                3. gear shifts are ultra smooth.
                4. the tank has a logo mentioning 50 years of racing, will post a pic.
                5. headlights are disappointing, atleast the low beam...have not used the high beam yet.
                6. the racing red, white color is beautiful, bike looks bigger in this color combination.

Congrats dude... Do post the pics quickly...

By short distance you mean how much since you've driven only 40kms.. Yes, this one has a tendency of heating up quite a lot if driven in lower gears viz. 1st 2nd or 3rd... But don't worry by the time of completing 1000km, it'll get normal, as my V2 doesn't heat up now and I don't even remember when was the last time my radiator fan was required...

Low beam is certainly disappointing as the single bulb is pathetic in providing illumination in the middle of the road... But high beam is quite good... So best bet is to get wiring job done to use both bulbs even in low beam...

Anyway take care of her and keep enjoying...

Congrats let me do the honors to post a pic .

Guys the bike looks hot. Its neat and its quality is better than the V1.0 .

The low beam and high beam are bed lamps . You know where to look for lights.

                    • Hey Navnish,

Thanks for posting the pic, will be coming soon for HID's.

                      Thanks Maverick,

the 40km is not what i meant the short ride...break the 40 also in 2-3......bangalore traffic is horrible....continous gear shifts and breaks so probably the reason of heating up.

Not very comfortable for pillion rider.

Got an LS2 helmet as well today. Tried few others like Vega, studd rhyno, cross however the best fit and sturdy was LS2....worth the buy & spending a couple of hundreds extra ( by the way i am a very casual city rider ).

                      some pics.
                      cheers,
                      Binesh

                            • Is it for me???

                              Hi guys.
I am new to this website, but have been following little longer. Keep up the good work!
I have 3 queries that is stopping me from getting this fine machinery. Hope your expertise can help me make a decision.

                              1) Is it comfy for a guy of 173cm in height and weigh about 73?
                              2) I have had a accident that left my right wrist very weak, since then I have avoided riding heavy bikes / bikes with aggressive seating position as it was hurting my wrists. With time the problem has been reduced drastically but will never be cured 100%. Based on comments from this post I am aware that there would be some stress on the wrists, so please advise whether R15 will be suited for me.
3)I don't have a heavy pocket. So it would be very helpful if you guys would provide a spreadsheet on the maintenance cost that comes with first 6 services.

Hoping for a replay so that it would help me out to determine whether R15 is best suited for me!

YA according to your height there is nothing wrong with compatibility
                                - cost of first service approx 750 inr
-yes there is some stress on wrist but i will not suggest this bike as you met with an accident so go for street bikes not racing. dont take your health problem lightly.....yaar my personal opinion
