1.How much is your odo reading now..?
2.How much distance covered from last service..?
3.Have you cleaned and lubed, the chain, front and rear sprocket..?

Hope my questions can ring a bell and solve your issue.
Its 900+ in the odo, last servicing was done at 780km. Everything you said was taken care of while servicing. A slight vibration comes only at 4k rpm. I was asking if it is only with my bike or others too experience it.

I ride Ninja too, to be frank R15 has similar raw feeling as Ninja while riding...don't want to call it as a vibration. so-far I have covered abt 800kms on ODO.
Do call it whatever you want to, but it actually is Vibration

      • What are the charges for the first and second services? What all are changed? Can we open the front fairing (for cleaning purposes) with only the tools (Allen key) provided in the tool-kit? I mean, are adequate tools provided with the bike for opening front fairing?
What is the optimum air pressure to be kept? Asking this, because this will be my first bike with tubeless tyres.

everything is written in the manual .
There is no charge in 1st or second service (that's is why it is called free service). You have to pay only for the things you are going to change like engine oil, engine oil filter etc etc.

          • Just saying that you got a new R15 v2 doesnt make me happy. We need to know all the things that you had to go through when you got the bike. And we need pics...! Lots of them...!

And three days from now, your wrist joint pain will be gone. Atleast 50%. Dont bother with extra grips. The stock grip is really comfortable. Play around with your bike for a few days. You will eventually find the best posture in a few days.

            Enjoy your ride and congrats.
            @DrVenom
Thanks a Lot for the reply :-).. Feeling better now.. Hope Ill feel better once I ride more n more..

About me.. I learnt to drive scooters and bikes well when I was in class X. From then I became a Regular Driver. I daily went to school in my scooty(old version) in Class XI and shifted to the Bajaj Discover 125cc in Class XII.. Till then I had No license but still I managed to drive around 10,000 Kms safe and sound without it. I then shifted to the Pulsar 150cc bike with which i got my license. After Joining college I wasnt able to drive my pulsar to college for the first two years as it was quite distant compared to the distance from home to school. And I was also not accustomed to long distance drives in such bad road conditions. But Still Pulsar was the bike which I rode for a long time. Now in my Third Year I started to drive to college and have been doing so in my Pulsar till it started giving its problems. Now currently drive my FZS to college..

We decided to sell the Pulsar as it has done more than 45k Kilometers(done Both by me n dad) and its started to give a lot of maintenance problems. My dad asked me to select my new ride. I did a lot of research and finally found nothing impressive other than the R15. Reason to which was mainly because Im a Proud Mechanical Engineering Student.. I was too much into automobiles so I wanted a Technologically advanced bike which handles well and looks good(unlike a few people who said P220 is faster and cheaper). As I already have an FZS I knew that Yamaha wont disappoint.. My dad worries a bit about mileage but still he agreed to get me one.. So We booked a Red n White Beasty nd got the delivery with the registration formalities in about 3 days after the booking..
Now Im proudly riding my bike.. Waiting to complete the Run In so that I can Unleash it to its true potential..
My friend takes good pictures.. Waiting for a photo session with him.. Ill soon upload pics :-)

Yup.. that's right, first 6 Services are free in my case too...

The air pressure is rightly mentioned, however from service center they had recommended 32 for rear. I had done nitrogen filling to last the pressure long...

*Its a pretty good deal, go for it.. the bike would cost same as onroad price at Bangalore..

                      Got a few important questions:
What do u guys do for making the bike go on double stand for cleaning purposes? I mean, have u bought a paddock stand or made some desi jugaad?
*Center Stand was an Accessory, I didn't Opt for it..

                      *Didn't try yet...

                      *F-28 & R-33 is recommended

Yes you can do that by loosening the bolt at the position marked in circle in your pic.
Bring out that connector, rotate it anticlock- wise keeping the hole as "center". Notice the lever lowering down, stop rotating when you get your desired position of the lever and place the connector back into the toothed gears.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
