So is this a result of faulty tappets or valves springs? its kind of wired that you buy something worth a lakh and the company ask you to live with fault.. isnt there any solution to this?

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
It depends on the riding style. On highway I tend to ride Hard, read 100-110kmph constantly (ofcourse with riding gear). The svc suggested that I should not rev beyond 7k which trust me any R15 owner cannot resist.Originally posted by vishveshkavdi View PostSo is this a result of faulty tappets or valves springs?
If anyone does find a permanent solution to the tappet sound please post it.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
It depends on the tire condition. if its tired enough change it. If it ahs suffered numerous punctures, change it. You wont believe the rear rubber had more than 10 punctures. Had to invest almost the same cost of tire to mend it so changed it. also due to extensive Lavasa trips the tire had it through hard scenarios getting used up edge to edge end to end. Changed it around 13K kms, Now its almost 25K kms on the ODO still going great . tires have wear indicators in between the treads. If the rubber has reached the indicator, its time to get new pair of shoes for your bike. Varies with every rider and the road condition where you ride .Originally posted by dipxmebh View Posthello v2 riders, I would like to know at what km reading on the odometer did you guys change your bike's rear tyre i.e rev z s ????? thanks in advanceKeep Calm and Kaam se Kaam
To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Was doing a daily check after returning home and found that there were green deposits at the middle of the engine's casing... looked a little up and found that there was a little coolant leak from a hose kindof thing that is connected to the engine? Any info on what this could be? Checked the coolant reservoir level and it was just the same (At Maximum)
The leaked coolant seems to have dried already and i even tried idling the bike and revving it a little, and when the radiator kicked in, there was no leak!! Creepy though!!
Anyone had a similar issue???? please do help me out!!!
