P.S.: Hey reply to this posting the words bike & advice together. You'll be surprised to your bones. :|

Lovely write-up! And I see that my name mentioned as well . Although I did say that very confidently, I totalled my One-Five on the 30th and I was on the verge of crying as well seeing what all had been damaged. All thanks to an over-confident senior citizen who decided to take a quick U-Turn without looking out for traffic and stalled his car right in front of me. The resulting big bang lead to this-

      Damage to bike-

      1. Head Cowl obliterated along with the reflectors and the rest of the plastic parts inside that supported the fairing.
      2. Rim bent.
      3. Right Side Fork bent.
      4. Front Mudgard Broken.
      5. Fairing filled with scratches. Had to remove them because the bent fork didn't allow the wheel to move inwards without removing the fairings and the belly pan.

      Damage to me-

Was geared up head to toe so just an ankle sprain and somehow a pulled muscle in the groin. My Joe Rocket lid took the brunt of my body landing face first on to the pavement. Wouldn't have made it alive without it. My Lumia 920 did a good job as a chest protector as well and came out scratchless

The super unlucky part is that I was on my way to get the insurance renewed when this accident happened. Couldn't go earlier due to my Semester exams. Luckily enough I topped 4 subjects, so parents didn't give me much of a hard time when the saw the estimate bill of 20k! So at the cost of an upcoming ride to Nainital, the bike will be fixed.

Omg!! Sad to see R15 like this.. Hope you are alright .. And what happened to the senior citizen?? Is he ok?

Hope the bike recovers soon.. And more sad part is,its LE whose parts are costlier and tough to source.

Is it normal for the bike to feel a little stiff while gearing when the bike is a bit heated up (optimal temp) Just asking because i just have a feeling that the bike behaves sharp and smooth when the engine is cold!

Its enough for the gears to slot into place and stay there. The rest is just fluff.

Hi even I have ridden my bike with hid high beam on for 2 hours.. Multiple sensor blinks for low battery.. Next day its gone back to normal. Since then I use to swap between high and low beam according to the light .. Now my battery works fine and no trouble in start up too

I have read the report of yamaha.. It should be b/w 130-132. I haven't try beyond that either. May clicking 140+ due to a great riding tactics. If so I would keen to the level of riding pleasure and control as same as riding 130?

@<F.I.>: I saw the post on FB. The comments that followed made too light an environment for me to say anything. Only glad to know you're okay. Carefull kid, this Country aint the place for triple digit encounters.

P.S.: I'm assuming you've settled the bill with the SVC. If only you stayed close by, I could get you out of the mess for a lil less than 4k. If you still havent settled the bill, call me. Maybe I could share with you a worn-out trick.
