getting delivery of limited edition this weekend
Hi All,
New to xbhp, however not new to bikes....in the past i had owned rx100, shogun and a pulsar 180.....from last 4 years i have been using my car and once in a while my wife's scooty
to ensure that i don't forget riding
. with the experience i had from pulsar 180 (the worst gear shifts i have ever experienced) i decided not to ride for couple of years and may be wait for a decent machine and i think 50% of that wait was over when i saw the r15 however i was not too thrilled because of its rear portion, and yes the wait was over the moment i saw version 2.0 on road last september....decided to buy with 2012 registration. Getting the delivery of limited edition (white & red) this weekend.
In the end i would like to thank all who contributed in this thread and helped me to decide to go ahead with the purchase
Cheers,
Bineshcheers,
Binesh

All right, a friend of mine is looking forward to buy an R15 v2.0 after trading off his P220 dtsi.
I am looking for an unbiased opinion on things where he might feel disappointed and things where he might feel happy in terms of usability.
Improvements I can assume are:
Handling,
Braking,
Engine smoothness,
One additional gear
Disappointments I presume are:
Comparatively lower low end torque,
Lesser acceleration,
Riding stance,
Complaint from pillion,
Availability of spare parts,
Price of spare parts,
Higher maintainance charges.
I would really appreciate if you guys can help me with your inputs.
Thanks in advance.

The maintenance is high, but the quality of parts is way better and it lasts longerOriginally posted by Raneet View PostAll right, a friend of mine is looking forward to buy an R15 v2.0 after trading off his P220 dtsi.
