Yes, that's a point. But on a second thought...I felt...while we sit on the saddle we don't see the fairing or cosmetic beauty. The only thing we experience is how the bike behaves. If the figures are to be believed, r15's performance(power and torque) is way too less than that of duke. Top speed and handling are more or less same(that's what I heard). confusion...confusion..confusion...lols

        Dear mskr,

I am very happy to know that you have received an unique number. Always wished I would receive an unique number like you. I am afraid you are luckier than me.

To use the Unique number, you MUST:
        - first and foremost never disclose the unique number to anyone
        - secondly go to the nearest Yamaha showroom and ask to see the owner. Show him the message, and demand your R15.

-I would advise you thirdly to show the message to General Manager Yamaha factory, if the owner shows no recognition of the unique number.

-Fourthly be persistent, they may try to swindle or cheat.

Once again I am so happy for you that I can't stop rolling on the floor with happinness, in fact its happying my ass off.

So keep us posted on your progress.

        Good luck mskr

My R15 V2 has not crossed 1000 kms, so I cannot ride it beyond 7500 rpm for a long period of time. but I guess a minute around 9000 rpm is ok to do. So I made this video using a duplicate MD80 from ebay and here is the video

                          • at what rpm did you do 132? since my bike has not crossed 1000 kms. I'm not supposed to cross 7500 rpm. but this was at 9000 rpm. after I finish a few hundred kms, i'll test max speed.

It's not the kilometers that matters but the number of oil changes. Though different people have different opinions my plan is to change oil at the following odoreadings @100, @400, @1000 and @2000. Please do read through forums for a good runin. Share if you get some good info.
