I had booked the Bike in Sept. 2011, may be among top 15th booking. The Dealer had promised me to give the delivery of bike within 45days which is almost over.. Every weekend I go to his showroom to see his regretful smile .. I have booked the Red/White to which he claims its out of stock, it seems most of the bookings have gone to this color. I tried convincing myself to go for other available bike with Blue or Black color but somehow Red has stuck to my mind Guess I wouldn't be soo obsessed taking my marriage but yes to take the delivery of the Bike .... I wont stop giving nightmares to dealer until I get my bike
me too . Booked on Sept27th. Since I'm a married grown up man(to the outer world) I have to hide my real emotions(18 year old biker boy...that's the reality inside ) to avoid teasing from friends and family. They don't understand "it". Only we do.
Love the ride, not the destination

    • Can anybody throw more light on how to remove the rear tyre hugger....like its done in the below pic...

In normal street legal bikes we will also have the number plate attached.....so that will remain....main thing is how to get rid of the rear tyre hugger......some say its a complete unit and in order to remove the rear tyre hugger, it has to be cut out with an axle blade or something like that.....but in the pic I can see nothing like that being done.....

        • Wait is Killing me!

The wait is just killing me too..
The immediate delivery of CBR (next day itself) is too tempting..
          Red/White for me too.

Mine is expected in Feb (4 months he said).
Yesterday I had her in my dream at 9.00 in the morning (Yes!), me riding the beauty at 5k, went to fill petrol. Wow, I could actually feel it.

Got up and called the dealer and asked him to do something (Dekh le jo bhi hoga wo ).

I had almost zeroed on the ZMR, but then she just couldn't get out of my mind.
          Hoping to get it soon.

Dear GOD, please give me the patience!
Money can get a 1942 BSA these days, but even Warren Buffet's whole Bank account can't get us our leg back!

Hey Dude.. I have booked with "Pacer Yamaha", HRBR Layout.. this was the closest dealer to my place. Wanted to book with "Orion Motors", Opp. to Forum Mall bcoz that's where I saw the Red beauty first time..
Thought its easy to follow-up if I book closer to where I live.. Since I visit the dealer every weekend or now-n-then while passing across the showroom, have become quite known to Staff and Owner.. As I had conveyed that I am going for full cash, within 2 weeks I received a call to take the delivery of Blue Bike (Oct. 1st week) and also for Black (Oct. 3rd week)..I guess you shouldn't wait for too long to get Blue/Black (if paying full cash).. I checked with Yamaha Showroom at CMH road, even they have Blue & Black in stock provided you paying full cash(again)..

The Challenge is with the Red/White Bike...

You Bet, Red/White is in huge demand, I personally feel "R15 V2.0" is best projected in this color (that's the secret I wudn't go for other colors, though I can pick B***/B**** "the Bee's" from the dealer overnight )... awaiting for Racing "Rrrrz"

                  • Dealers concept @ Bangalore..
Hey Guys.. here is how it works! Every 15 days fresh stock arrives at Bangalore (No one knows what color).. The stock is equally distributed based on the number of dealers and the bookings, assume if all three colors are in stock - equal color combinations are grouped and given to the dealers (the color pick system is not biased from dealers point-of-view).. Further the bikes are dispatched to individual showrooms from the main warehouse.. Its soo ridiculous when someone say 'hez not sure what colors are dispatched from the main production center (from North), I laughed on the dealers face to hear that and that poor chap himself not convinced with the system

                      k. i am planning to bookit too, so i will book at multiple showrooms :P wherever the bike comes first i will take it {i like black and red\white. but i have to see both of them in real as i have seen only blue.} i guess red\white will become common soon so..... and try to check out with perfect riders in jayanagar, i guess they can deliver sooner.

                        Hey,
                        Thanks Drifty!
But I've already booked (close to my house, also after sales service might differ as I purchased from them) and for fresh booking, they say, waiting period is of 6 months!

                        Well, no options though.
I had thought about CBR and ZMR after booking, as the wait was killing me, but still this babe, just cant get out of my head!

Better go with CBR or any other bike as the waiting period is unacceptable. Malad factory showroom is now quoting 7 months wait period.

Almost 30000 premium for immediate delivery????

The dealers are cashing on big time.

felt like im on top of the world
when i first ignited her and took her from the Dealership
But bfore that............. i observed a small scratch on the front visor
and questioned the dealer , he was like telling all possible reasons
                              JAIN YAMAHA : T NAGAR , CHENNAI , TAMILNADU
i had it written on my delivery note and he promised me to change it in my next visit

now coming to the first ride from there to my house ( 18 kms approx )
                              the feel was awesome
i kept her under 4k and drove back home
exactly 9 bikerS and a person from a car onthe way asked me the details and complimented the looks of our beast

The initial pick up was amazing and its a riders paradise
now coming to my observations ,, & questions

The gear shifting was very hard to change and i struggled a bit
i was quite confused that i shud whether use till the 6th one
as i was cuudling her in full city traffic ( 20 ~ 40 kms ) only
i felt like some grunt all over my ride is that okay ????

                              • Ok! the Red Gush was a pleasure & priceless!
so now that its little water downed..

My yamaha r15 2.0 came to me a week back on 12th of Novmeber. just love the way it is designed & the its ergonometrics for the rider.
                                mine is Red+white combo ride.
She just flaunts everywhere she moves.
ya i can write some poetry.yes in love.lol

                                come to the ride...
^The Bike has good chunks of power(specially in lowend) to move along the traffic. i was impressed. being coming from a HondaUnicorn.
^ The pillon seat is hard to climb on , but its plants the pillon firmly. I got many positive comments from the pillons.
^ The Bike feels really firm and planted on the road., as of now im adjusting to the growl of the yamaha, very contrast with the slience of the Honda's can say tht. its heart beats good though.

                                things im doubt at:
^ im maintain an rpm upto 4-5, varying in all gears shift. The gear shift feels little hard as of now ., hope its gets fixed in the first servicing.
^ I feel buzz sound like my front disc is rubbing with something ., sometimes. i wonder why.
^ yess. humming sound persists i guess its from the riadiator. annoying sometimes.
^ the self start needs one more push on early mornings. anybody faced it on they bike?
^ The engine heats gud., it ok as of now., being in winter chill. hard to imagine on hot summers.

                                things i should do now:
                                ^ read bike manual first.now!
^ stop worryin. n enjoy the ride!!

                                Cheers to all the riders.
                                'Change one thing. Change everything.
