I inquired with one of the showrooms in Noida and the bike is available off the shelf.

in case if you havent got the bike yet think of cancelling the registration and doing it again in December end and getting the bike with 2012 registration.. it matters in case you want to sell your bike later...Originally posted by Shshank View PostHi Guys,
I also booked my bike on 28th Sept but still waiting for the delivery. I have booked a blue one. Still haven't got any confirmation from the dealer about the delivery date and this is frustrating me even more. I even thought of cancelling the booking and going for cbr 250r as it is easily available.
I have few questions to the R15 v2.0 owners:
1) I will be using my bike for almost 60 to 70 km everyday out of which 40km would be on highway. So will the bike be comfortable for this long ride? I will be riding solo.
2) I have read in this tread that in the initial period till 1000km one should not ride the bike constantly in one gear. But as I will be riding mostly on highway there wont be any need to change the gears much and would be riding constantly on the 6th gear at a speed of 50 to 60km/hr. Will this harm the engine?
Thanks in advance.
1. initially there would be pain in wrist and back.. but then you will get use to it....
2. please go through some posts where it is said that stick to 5k rpm and then 7.5k rpm for run-in periods.... rpm matters and not speed...as regards constant speed.. its not that is will harm but the engine wont open up and MAY result in lower top-end later... occasional bursts help the engine and the rider...WARNING!! yes it is a good option.. go for itOriginally posted by Daytona View PostThough I booked my bike in September I am still in the waiting Q, I go to the dealer almost every weekend and try all possibilities to take the delivery of Red bike asap. The Dealer says Red is not in stock
looks like I wont be getting the delivery sooner than November end or December (though Blue & Black are available). I am willing to pay full cash but that's not helpful either to get my color.
Having said that I am thinking to cancel my booking and re-book in December/January so that I can take delivery in January with a tag of "2012 Registration".. I feel its of No use if I take the delivery in November End or December as a month would pass to complete the Run-in period (I don't want to hurry to complete run in) therefore its of no use taking delivery of the bike this year as the movement you step January, your bike is One year old
... I am little skeptical with delivery now, what say?????

Hey thanks buddy!! Should I vary the speed on the highway so that it wont affect the top end later? Or would you suggest something to avoid it?Originally posted by siddharth_ZMR View Postin case if you havent got the bike yet think of cancelling the registration and doing it again in December end and getting the bike with 2012 registration.. it matters in case you want to sell your bike later...

Yes, Malad factory shop quoted a waiting period of 5-6 months even after paying full in cash. But there is one dealer in Mira road (Divine motors) who is promising a delivery in one week but he's asking for 1.35KsOriginally posted by coolpras26 View PostWhat???????? 5-6 months??? really??
hope( actually i don't hope, just guessing) your talking about R15 V2.0 what about Factory shop malad?
Yes you can vary the speeds, but make sure to do it in short burts. Dont stay in higher Rpm's for too long until the run in is completed.Originally posted by Shshank View PostHey thanks buddy!! Have the Mumbai showrooms lost their mind, i booked my bike and it was ready for delivery in 2 days.Originally posted by x-force View PostIn mumbai they say a waiting period of 5-6 months..
Since i hadn't anticipated it i wasn't able to pick it for another two days.
Picked up my bike today and rode it to work and i have to admit that my car has spoilt me a bit but the ride was so much more exciting.
I am looking to follow the motoman's breakin method and the regular one, any inputs guys?respect ma authoritae!!
