^^^ I think most people are confusing the issue. Yamaha has no refining capabilities. In fact none of the bike makers have their own refining capabilities. So one of the major oil companies or oil blenders has be the one that blends the oil for Yamaha and the other respective bike manufactures.

Now the question that arises is why would you want to buy the 'same' oil that the oil companies/ blenders are selling directly into the market from Yamaha or any of the other bike makers?

The answer is 2 fold; firstly it is not the same oil that oil companies/ blenders are selling directly into the market. The oil that Yamaha sells is of its own formulation, only the refining and blending is done by the oil companies (in this case its Motul, formerly I recall it was Exxon). So Motul oil is not the same as Yamalube.

The second and the most important part (according to me) is who is guaranteeing the performance of the oil to API & JSO standards. Check out any of the oil containers and you will find that in most cases it is the company that is marketing the oil is guaranteeing the oil to the said standards. So when you buy Yamalube, it is Yamaha which is guaranteeing that the oil meets the said API & JSO standards.
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

That's something solid about V2.0. By the way, does any one noticed that what the Japenese guy was trying to show with the front disc?? It remain unchanged from the V1.0, I think....

oil change after 150-200kms - mineral again
oil change after 500kms and then full blast. Switch to full synth.
But 99% of them have no patience. So its atleast recommended to do 500kms without load, with moderate acceleration and keeping revs below 5-6k.
IMO Never do this method. Switching to FS at 500kms? Run in is not completed at 500kms.

Do the first oil change at 150kms,then @ 500kms and then at 1000kms and then at 2000kms.Till 500kms,keep it below 50km/h,Never rev hard and be gentle with throttle. After the oil change at 500kms take it upto 80 for a few secs and then took back to 50-60km/h,Vary the speed between 50-80km/h.After the oil change at 1000kms,take it above 100 or 120 for a few secs and take it back to 70-80,This time also vary the speed between 60-120km/h(Do not ride at short stretches for completing the runin period)After 2000kms and an oil change, you can ride as you like. Guess this method is better than the above mentioned one.

Never put SS or FS oil before completing atleast 6000kms.

The disc diameter remains unchanged yes..but the mounting pitch is different. Now under hard braking there is no distortion felt and feedback at the lever is improved too. The Jap guy was explaining about this change in the mounts.

Bajaj DTSi Engine Oil is from Servo, Which costs around 300rs and the Label says the refill interval is 10,000Kms (So you can imagine the quality)
