if it has better top speed and if the bike accelerates faster than RTR. i am selling my RTR180 and getting this one...i have fallen in love with this girl you know.....waiting for the full review!!!!

Well as wierd as it may sound, but yes my bike has a name, on the lines of Casey Stoners Ducati. I got the black "smokin hot" beauty today at 10 am.

90 kms in a single day and well all the apprehensions about back pain and shoulder pain were thrown out the window. yes wrist pain is persistent. may be it will take some time getting used to it

the bike revs with the enthusiasm of a teenager down wid 13 redbulls, its a proper hoot to ride. The sad part is that i havent crossed the 5000rpm mark in any gear and the 4000rpm mark on the 6th. Its so bloody difficult to keep down the speed below 60kmph. ( please do suggest me on the RUN IN period and what precautions to be taken ). the exhaust note has this shrill note wid a classy thump to it. the engine does get heated superquick. i noticed the bike venting hot air out the vents when it was stationery. i guess its normal as i already read this somewhere. the gear shift is a bit notchy, the gear changes with a "clink" but 4th, 5th and 6th dont make such sound, may be its me and i am shifting in wrong. getting used to the 6 speed tryanny is bit wierd, shifting down 3 gears when we brake is unsual for someone who has till date ridden a bike with only 4 gears.

The seating position is a perfect even for a tall guy like me. the recess on the tank accomadated by knees perfectly. the seating is superb. its large and a variety of "bums" can rest there in peace . the rear seat is too high, but once up der the feeling is just superb. a mini escalator should be given free with the bike , just in case ur gurlfrds hover around the 5ft 2 inch mark.

Its a head-turner, people look at it with awe!!!! it just feels so superb, when people come up and inquire about the bike.

Did you try with PSN Yamaha at mamangalam?AFAIK the shinrai Yamaha is the worst Yamaha service centre in kochi,our cochin fellow xbhpians had experienced it.

i am 183 cms tall. the bike does look a lil tiny..not as much as the v1.0 but yes obv...superbikes (or in dis case 150cc superbikes) were never meant for tall folks.

The bike is extremely relaxed in the 6th gear. I could do 82kmph at 5k RPM.
At 80, the engine felt like I was doing 50 and the composure was that of 40kmph!

I didn't try psn. May be I can do the services at psn even if I buy at shinrai.

Completed 100 kms in the bike today.

I rode the bike today in heavy traffic(Mysore Dasara!) and the radiator fan switched on.
The first 2 gears are rather clunky and sometimes, I engage neutral while trying to engage 2nd gear. It is very annoying when that happens.

Riding this bike is truly a religious experience. The attention it grabs is also awesome.

I got a call from Yamaha, Regarding my December 2010 enquiry about the new R15 They asked me to visit and yes I did, At-least to check the bike And hoping for a test drive. So I reach there and the agent who called me got a sober face ... Yes he noticed my ride ... Still I got a chance to check the bike, I would say! Definitely would have bought that one if it had come a little earlier

Looks bulky! Far far better than the previous version, Pictures wouldn't satisfy the feel Have a peek by yourself, Will be satisfied much

Didn't check for much other details! Rear seat was a little mess up! And no grab rails even! Okay with your lady friends, they can hold ya tight! Doesn't work so well with the guy friends lol! Lovely 130mm rear tier btw, MRF again! Not sure whether its a soft compound. And tier hugger was pathetic Hopes its removable!

The older one, v1.0 used to do 80kph at 5.5k rpm, and the new one as Abhichoco stated, does 82kph at 5k rpm...so can we conclude from these results that a better top end can be expected from this machine, the latter one...?

Man pointed out the the problem to the tee. the gear shifting in the first 3 gears is a hastle and downshifting from 6th to 3rd goes like "clink-clink-clink". and the radiator fan switches on...the handle bar settles into a hum..but it feels sci-fi. theres a lil humming sound that comes asa the bike starts, i dont know if its only limited to my bike but yes..it does.

i have completed around 240kms in 2 days and boy do my shoulders and wrist cry out for mercy.. i dont know if its just me getting used to the riding position or is what a racing bike offers???

experienced guys out there please let us "the newbies" know the perfect sitting position, the exercise to strech out, the run-in period tips
