Its finally here

My baby SBK is finally here & i must say i m more that satisfied with the bike. The bike is so great & attention grabber. The main reason i bought the bike was because i like the looks but when i drove it for around 30kms i came to know it is insanely beautiful from the inside also. I could feel the raw power of the bike waiting for me to open the throttle which even i was tempted to do many times but kept it cool as it would be better in the longer run. As the looks of the bikes are razor sharp so is the handling. Its razor sharp , it goes where i want it to go, now i understand how these SBK owners could ride with ease. ( No offense here) . I m not a very good rider but this bike gave me so much of confidence in me. I see my self in a different way although i know its very early so say this but still i loved it. Yammie has always been an attraction for me since childhood. Now i can proudly say again YES YAMAHA ! . Completed 35 kms on the ODO. Did the PDI, the bike was fine except one thing which annoyed me a lot, there are some scratches on the tank & i told the dealer i won't tke the delivery until you do something for it, he assured me it will go away with the polishing, as he did not have polish he called me up in two days. Other than that everything is great. Will be uploading pictures soon.As soon as i got the delivery i took the tank pad.
& guys please tell me when exactly shall i change the engine oil & shall it be Fully synthetic / SS/Mineral.

I m facing a lot of false gear shifts? Is it normal???

Is there anyone who can send me the paddock from bangalore.?? Guys from bangalore?? Someone once posted it costs around 1500/- . Here in mumbai i enquired few places it nothing less than 3500/-. Help please. Although i would go with the RX stand if things don't go the way i planned.

Well every episode on your life teaches you something. I will also make sure t o check all these things i give it to SVC

You can actually drag him to court for this. But I would say mark a mail to Yamaha and get hold of that svc guy.

petrol - 1li+6.35li

At odo - 199km the F symbol lights up.

Calculations:
7.35 - 1.9 reserve = 5.45li

199km/5.45li = 36.5kmpl.

And you should be happy with anything above FE 35kms.. lets be happy with Minimum's, instead of Maximum's

The manual suggests a run-in period of 1000 kms!
Even I started opening the throttle gradually! Also I could reach only 130 with a very heavy crosswind, despite of shifting at 10+ RPM!
But, this was without crouching!

People here have attained 140+.
It also depends on the rider's weight I guess.. I'm 85 so I'm OK with 130, although I would Love to have some more!

May be an R25 would suffice! (Waiting)

Your weight should be just fine for Highway rides, Infact its an advantage... Sometime strong wind screw-up your bike handling, I have seen my frnds riding with pillion in such conditions.. its gives better stability!

Good that something major was avoided. Rush to the SVC first, you need to have some answers. If they dont respond responsibly mail yamaha at the email add provided on their site.

THe bike comes with SS from the factory, dont go the mineral route. I recommend changing once at 350-400 kms, then at 1000 kms and then every 3000 kms per manual.
Matter of getting used to the shifts..should get normal soon..

Tried to Fix a Cramster colt Saddlebag...It fits nicely except the fact that the bag touches the silencer tip. Anyone Knows a solution for this problem?

Yes Aargee. Thats why i did not buy it. Just wanted to clarify with someone. Anyway I am going for Rjays Super Magnetic Tankbag.~27 litres. Can be used as Tankbag too. But still saddlebag would have been better.
