The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

wtf, there was a car which belongs to my house owner inside the compound so cant park it inside, plus the bike was covered. anyways FIR filed, spoke to insurance agent n all. have to wait till 90 days to confirm that bike wont be traceable and to get my amount, if i get the bike before that then its well and good. feeling so miserable

This is gonna be the most stressful time of your life. Any update from cops or the insurance people do post here and let each of the party know too. Meanwhile open a page on fb in regards to your bike and post pics and information and share it across, who knows someone might spot it and contact you.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Postcops made me feel like i am the culprit and asked stupid question like "how can u keep the costly bike outside and sleep inside"?

i used to take care of it so good manOriginally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostThis is gonna be the most stressful time of your life. everyone around my house was shocked and were telling each other about the care i used to take of it. no one used to wash their bikes in my area like the way i used to do
yes i have shared pic and details about the bike in FB. went to insurance guy and submitted Dl copy, RC copy, wrote letter and took took seal from RTO and asked them to block the reg number of the bike and took copy of that letter and gave it to the insurance guy. gave FIR copy too.
have to wait for 90 days for the investigation to finish. if they dont trace it within 90days then they will lose the case that the bike is not traceable and the insurance company will process the claim.
all my dreams shattered yesterday. i had plans of going to ooty this month, coorg in oct for my b'day and goa in december and saddlesore next year with YRC
this shitty thing happened now

Got my bike yesterday...
Here are a few pics---

First impressions---
1. I had a P220 before so I feel the 1st and 2nd gear pickup is bad.
2. Wrist pain is just too much for now. But i think, it's all about getting used to and finding the right posture.
3. Headlights inadequate. Already upgraded to a full beam HID.
4. Looks awesome but is an attention seeker which always gives me tension while parking.
Guys ,I'm finding the gearshifts a bit notchy and less smooth than expected. Will this improve after first service?

1.You need to ride this bike in a different sort of way.Shes rev happy. So she protests at low revs.POst 7000 rpm, the R15 is a rocket. You need to reach out to that zone for power. Moreover torque at low revs is not a strong point of R15..Originally posted by Aditya-biking pro View Post1. 2. True..same here..Just to be cautious I have a extra rubber lock which I tie around the wheel.
3.This will definitely improve.Plus, shifting at low revs and slower movements while shifting feels the shifter to be notchy. Just be firm, confident and quick. You will feel buttery shifts..

Thanks alot buddy. I'm feeling very eager to touch that post 7k RPM mark but will have to wait for first 1000 kms.Originally posted by Sushrut View Post1.You need to ride this bike in a different sort of way.Shes rev happy. Rubber lock does help to an extent but problem is worse. Stupids try to touch it or to even sit on it(already happened to me). Some people even make scratches either knowingly or unknowingly.
I'm planning to change my sparkplugs to NGK Iridiums. Any noticeable change in smoothness or starts? Is Fully Synthetic oil advisable for R15 after first service or I should wait atleast till the 3rd service?
One important query--
I've changed the stock indicators to LED ones (Yamaha official ones). Their blinking rate is faster than the stock ones. SVC guys said that it's all fine and LED blinkers do blink at a faster rate. Is this true?Last edited by Aditya-biking pro; 08-04-2012, 12:16 AM.Biking- A Pure BLISS !

2.NGK would make your bike more crisper, that is, more instant throttle response. They alter the feel rather than power..
3and 4.I guess let the seniors intervene here!
Oh I forgot..congratulations for your new bike by the way!Last edited by Sushrut; 08-04-2012, 12:33 AM.
