This is my first post on Xbhp.
I've been an avid reader of this forum and your experiences and reviews helped me entirely in going for the Baby R..
Got my babe on 30th May. Almost a couple of months, 2000Km on the odo and very first servicing. I'm thoroughly satisfied by my babe. Every day brings new surprises new challenges. Every single time I swing a leg over the saddle, an altogether different kind of adrenaline rush gushes out of me.
Thanks everyone for your help! Cheers.
thats cool welcome bro. {P.s- first thing i noticed is the name you have put there, little strange } where are you from , and 2k in 2 months is good. been touring or just city ride?

        Thanks a lot brother
As for the name, just wanted to have something catchy during the week it's all to the office and back thing. Although on the weekends i prefer to go to Lavasa (a place near Pune, roads are super smooth with really nice turns) for an amazing ride.

Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

          • Hi Guys,
Done with 3rd servicing. 5 months now and ODO reads 6103 Kms.
Happy as always. Checked the mileage just before giving for servicing and it was ~ 40 kmpl .
I was so happy to see that as in Mumbai rains its too hard to go beyond 1/2 gear in the loooooong traffic mostly everywhere.
Although heavy rains, never left the bike while travelling to office, got completely wet many times but it was a bliss .
Got the decarbonisation done in the servicing, bike is smooth like never before.
Just a black dot in the experience, my LS2 helmet got stolen from the SVC....

              • Completed 5000 km and done the 4th service.Changed the oil filter. Now my V2 has a great appetite for revs compared to earlier times.Well, things like these do really matter..Should I change the oil filter for every service from now??

Yaah, learned that hard way bro.
Actually my office travelling covers ~41 kms in total (to and fro). Although there is a shorter route (~ 27 kms) but that's within the city, so i prefer the highway(the longer) one...it gives couple of stretches where it's possible to easily reach on and above 120 kmph .
So that made 6K within 5 months without any such long distance covering

Actually i was told from the svc that the oil filter needs to be changed in every alternate service. So I've got it changed in 1st and 3rd. But I would change it every service from now on.

                    • Got the 3rd servicing done.. Completed 6000kms in 3 months.. Havent faced any issue till today .. its doing great as always.. it has gone though all the conditions.. rode it in best and worst rodes possible.. the best one was 1100kms ride in NH4.. and other one to mention is to Dharmasthala and Kukke through Bisile Ghats.. these 2 have been unforgettable rides on my bike.. But the sad part is i noticed a small dent on the tank near Yamaha logo.. I have no clue how this happened dont see any scratches near the dent..

personally I like the Sunset Red. Black looks great too.. There are less numebr of black and blue ones. So in the end it's your choice.!
