Similarly, u get Tribocor 500ml for 300, Motul for 500 with which you can have 15 generous lube sprays, wonder why they charge 200 for a single spray! (FYI, chain cleaning is done for free during service since it is done along with the normal bike wash. What they charge here is exclusively for the lube.)

Not at all. You can get your bike serviced at any Yamaha authorised SVC.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View Post
This is nothing but loot. You get a full 300ml coolant for 300 bucks IIRC. During the service it is just a top up, 200 plus tax is exorbitant.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View Post

I use OKS chain Spray for lubrication.
Cleaning of chain and rear sprocket is done by washing center, so need not worry on that. Monarch i hope they are good than YFS.
Coolant top up I would actually leave it for the SVC because i heard you need a certain torque to tighten the cap and a pressurized system to check the temperature as well as pressure inside the coolant chamber (please enlighten)
Iam still awaiting the symptoms of damaged cone set on an R15 V2 please reply those are facing it.sigpic

@all: Its always the coneset who's the culprit. Happens cuz of raceball dislocation or bursting of the same. Happens on hitting potholes or bumps a lil too hard.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Posti too get the noise. from the first day

Sucks to lose the punch, believe me.

I dont think so. I got my bike with '0' kms on odo, and while taking it for registration, even the very small patch works on the road produces this sound.Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View Post@all: Its always the coneset who's the culprit. But, now nearing 7k kms, the sound is still there but is negligible and got used to it.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Areh Ivin, most SVCs disconnect the odo meter and it doesnt record any reading till the PDI.Originally posted by Ivin View PostI dont think so. I got my bike with '0' kms on odo, and while taking it for registration, even the very small patch works on the road produces this sound.

Even I got mine with 0.00km straight from the godown thats 4km away from the showroom, a storey underground where a truck cannot reach. That wasn't the case now,was it?!
Besides, the cones can conk by simply not being properly loaded/unloaded to/from the truck or under the perils of delivery.
Mine conked up after an accident where even the forks got malalligned.Last edited by ABikerAtHeart; 07-20-2012, 12:03 AM.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

Lol, that was not my case. Unloaded from truck in front of me, they did the quick paper works, no PDI done, and handed the bike to me. Now, I would have to imagine that the truck driver ran it from inside the truck and got coneset damagedOriginally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostAreh Ivin, most SVCs disconnect the odo meter and it doesnt record any reading till the PDI.

My take on this issue would be
1)If everyone is facing the same sound then its normal - All Yammies wont be defected.
2)If there are two or three members facing it, it is something to worry about.
can we have a continuation of who is facing is and who is not, please continue to put the next number in the required section.
Members can post other queries too but dont forget to quote the section below - For all members
Anyone facing spring loaded sound from front forks after going in bumps, pot holes or any type of obstacle.
1)Yes -1
2)No - 0sigpic
