Anyone using Shell Advance Ultra here? Searched everywhere but no specific info on the drain interval. I've been changing it every 2000kms but I feel it would surely last longer. Anyone?

I am curious to know whether they are more sticky than stock MRF's.

Ofcourse they are! So its like Michelin->Pirelli->MRF! Regarding the softness in the tyre compound.

So, Does the Ultra, being a Fully Synthetic have any change of lasting for 4000kms? Just curious because I've seen people on the other threads claiming the Motul 300v lasting for 5000kms!

I thought FS 300V would last definately 4k kms, or atleast I thought it would be safe to pull it upto 4k. Fully synthetics do last longer.

So finally I would be going to FY1, confirmed the price today from MRF here. Hope it holds well as people say.

I have used Shell Advance Ultra from 15k odo to 42k odo.
Its a very good engine oil with respect to all weather conditions of India.
Didint faced any problem in rev and smoothness till 4200km range.
Used to replace with new can regularly at 4500kms.
Only defect is it starts loosing life after 4000kms.

                        Need some help
I had a crash yesterday.. Bike is damaged very badly.. A faring bolt has gone into the crank case on left side..
When I turn on the engine it leaks oil form where the bolt digged in..
SVC is about 30kms from my place, is it OK to ride the bike till there..?

                          Sad man.
Better call up SVC where you regularly visit. Nowadays everyone has mobile SVC facility.
They will come to your place inspect and try to fix temporarily. And if you dont want this then better tow it.
Avoid riding only if you dont know the measure of damage which is not visible to you, and as yu mentioned it leaking oil.
Worst case it may be hazardous.

how did a faring bolt go thru the crank case !!! you better not ride it, and have it towed to the svc. you could spill oil along the way and cause harm to other vehicles especially two wheelers.

There is a clamp in the left side which holds the bottom of the faring, the clamp has bent and the bolt on it has broken into the crank case.. Will post a picture soon, bike is at my friends place.
