Ivin:You would have installed the service centre stand and removed either the front or rear and replace the tyre

Although not bad to have something covered up underneath fork and swingarm assembly like you did.

Any specific reason for removing both tyres subsequently before fitting those new shoes

The tyre shop was way long from my home. That is the reason. Neither the swing arm nor the forks are touching the ground. The centre stand area takes the full force.
The tires were worn out. The front had a little more to go, Changing both tires at the same time is rather good than one at a time .

Lot more work has been done, looks like 140km+ is damn assured with ease (not just mean the tyres beside some other changes)

BTW, I'm eager to know where did you get those full aluminium swingarm assembly and pair of sportier rider footpeg with liver.

looks like there is quite a bit of mods there. Are those HEL braided brake lines? And is that LV exhaust slip on or full system. Did you remap the ecu?

The high speed wobbling issue is history now. The bike is dead stable all around 140's.
^^^ Dont push the bike with new tyres. Wait for them to finish a heat cycle. They need to scrub in. If i'm not mistaken, brand new tyres dont give the optimum grip. Tyres have to be slightly worn out for that.

Nice that you did a DIY on the tyre removal and reinstall (I mean the wheel part, not the removing of rubber). Noob question= Don't you have to check for tyre alignment when you reinstall it? and Chain slack?

Of course I know that .
Yes. You have to check both while re-installing them.

Booked the 2014 racing blue today. Will get the bike in 20-30 days. The dealer said that the 2014 r15 has a new ECU. Thats all he knows about it as of now. Rs. 130500 on road mumbai.

The rear one has almost lost its final traction right on the middle, looking at way you ripped it off, must be a very accurate & blends with perfect riding posture and cornering and also the kind of surface the tyres were get used to... I'm also looking for a perfect farewell to my bike tyres as yours, mean the perfect usage, baring the side wall tread may remain as new.

The front one....hmmmm yes looks little away from getting worn out completely, but its also important that the front to get the exact traction translated by the rear tyre, it offers equal balance and enhanced grip towards falling on the corners. More importantly it will boost up the confidence level. Its possible only when both of them are new
Great job Ivin
Cheers:thumbup:
