i wanted the S1000RR's mirror because i thought it looked great.. just for look sake.
If you say just for look then what RVM does R15 have the one that in r15 has came from dream bike of many (R1). And it its perfectly adjustable. Like Ivin mentioned spending 10k for no reason that too after putting hole in fairing,is not very sensible thing one would imagine... Use that money for touring, go for good quality riding gears in case you don't have one. Its our opinion..

Since RVMs play a role in saving the bike's fairing during a fall, do we have to change the RVMs after a fall?? while the bike was new i couldn't adjust the RVMs easily, i used both of my hands to adjust it(not for the mirror part but for the stem part) and after a fall my L-RVM is easily adjustable by single hand and R-RVM is still sturdy so do i have to replace it??
RVM's are not used to save bikes faring during a fall.
Left side will be actually a little loose. You can tighten it as the right side. Or you can loosen the right side too. I will become adjustable like your left side is now. Once the bike is parked, I mean on side stand, the left mirror pops out from the bike to a fair distance. The vehicles parked near it or pedestrians walking near the bike might not notice and at occasions may slam it with their body. If the mirror is tight, it might break. So its kept a little lose so that it will bend accordingly saving you some bucks.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

.
Are you sure bro?? cause someone posted in the thread 'what I do to be a safe rider' or some other thread in 'The Art of safe riding' that RVMs indeed saves the bike's fairing during a fall at lower speeds..
anyways, i would be changing my L-RVM since they are scratched, and in the Yamaha SVC they quoted Rs. 300 for single L-RVM and 350Rs. for both sides .is the pricing right?

Lol, what kind math is this Rs. 300 for single and 350Rs. for both, sounds like they has sale going on
"300 ka ek 350 ka do"

The rvms will ofcourse break or bend once the bike falls down, it could minimize the impact on the fairing, but I don't think that too, fairing damage is sure. Rs.350 for both is right . How on earth will one cost Rs.300 then? Half of 350 will be apt.

A friend of mine(my room mate) made fun of me for wearing safety gears and falling down at 40khmph, he used to say that "if you are wearing all these then you should ride and fall at 150kmph then only it will be gethu(a tamil word to express manliness) for you and your r15", he used to make some jokes like r15= 150kmph fall and not r15=15kmph fall and all that..
but today he crashed at 50kmph and got bruised badly.. went to see him at the hospital and i couldn't help laughing at him, oh.. I'm evil
nothing major to worry about him though..

Other way down is the gearbox mated with six speed transmission each got various channels directly mapped with ECU for predefined torque conversion in each gear(starting from gear 1&2 to generate initial torque, 3,4& 5 to get the punch out of the torque expanded through initial gears & gear 6 for top speed and more) so may be torque converter not translating the actual demand to ECU effectively which may lead to lag in acceleration at times... Have the SVC guys check that out
nah man, i think it's just in my head ;-) god knows if the SVC guys here even know to operate on the ECU, and how i will explain it to them what might be the case.

no i didnt feel any difference in clutch play at 5th gear...will test it again in the next few rides...didnt think clutch play could be the issue. thanks.

Gethu maasu bla bla all these thing has nothing to do with safety... Try to understand the bike and ride safely its not that you ride with all gears on and you can ride whatever the way you feel like, gears can only reduce the damage to body, the way one fell does matter and will decide the fate of the rider regardless of any speed.

Always assume that you don't wear any protective gear& just get rid of the thought at what speed should I fall and what speed I shouldn't... Be a safe and cool rider

The exact information that i tried to educate my friend when i fell down, But according to his POV one doesn't need any gear to ride below 50KMPH and went on mocking me. I haven't crossed 59KMPH on Mack. My friend's accident was initially fun to me but now it's a more serious issue.. his brother who was riding the bike got is severely injured.. yet would you think they will stop laughing at us anna?? no they won't.. when he recovers back up i hope he would be back with lots of jokes to crack on me and i would silently laugh with him on myself..

Bro... Just tell him "I don't want to put myself in your situation (point out that he fell at 50km.) So I don't want to take any chances, let me ride with proper riding gear before doing any experiment". Just don't care about who knows very little about biking and safety.

By the way this thread is all about the machine come out with all your query on how to get the maximum out of machine and also share if you have any

• Yamaha YZF R15 spied in Indonesia. Looks like the Indian R15 , but some are saying they are testing the bike with an O2 sensor, new ECU , pointing to a closed loop FI system. Might be false.

Could be a market specific model or maybe v3 (which I doubt)

Ride safe and have fun.

Not much difference in design , but if you notice from the picture... Tail indicators are looking bit sharper and straighter
