thus at the end, i suspect he'd get the same kinda acceleration as a fully faired R15.

If you see absolutely no theory or nothing whatsoever. Its just a feeling he might have got... And moreover fairing doesn't seem to be that heavier as it was made off with high quality weightless fiber material perhaps it helps in providing well focused aerodynamics, hence cuts the wind accurately and enhances sharpness in all dimension.

The "naked look" instance that I brought into the previous post is just to rectify what he observed, its nothing but the impression which creates a feeling that we get bit more acceleration, top speed etc.when something is been taken off from the bike except for engine

Yes bro it gives very aggressive street fighter look.... Its our personal liking to make it look anyway we want. But my opinion is also the same as your brother. After all this is the sports bike and will provide only the sports riding posture, you still have to lean forward and thus difficult to get Duke alike riding posture unless you do some nasty modification in handlebar

Try and get the hugger removed by cutting off or entirely , like [MENTION=5286]@aditya_YZF-R15 did ( check out his pics) . If you still want to expose the bike:thumbup:

I have FZ for my naked thirst

Just a tip for you guys, if you feel any vibs from the fairing.. Put rubber seals with every screw. The ride will get so much smooth and vib free.

        Ride safe and have fun.

Its not a humungous amount of increase, just a little, not much, but noticeable.

Removing even a kg of part from the bike make you feel more acceleration, no matter how small it is.

              Ride safe and have fun.

god damnit, just randomly noticed today that my front's rim is slightly bent at one point...god knows when exactly it happened, probably 3 weeks ago when all of a sudden a massive pothole showed up from underneath the truck i was behind at the time slowly approaching it at about 60-70 kmph or so...i know the front took the brunt brutally...but for all i know it could be any of those brutal potholes that suddenly showed up that i have had to go over at a good speed a few number of times in the 7 months of the bike...but most likely it's that one from 3 weeks ago..that probably was the "sharpest" brunt i ever felt.

handling etc hasn't changed/deteriorated, at least not noticeably enough...handles as good as ever despite that small bent.

how much time do the SVCs usually take to rectify this thing, if anyone here has had an experience in this ?

Alloy rims can't be hammered or anything. Ones bent, they have to be replaced. No other way (as far as i know)

so i'll probably have to submit my bike to them for several hours or even a day.

Is the rim leaking air? If yes, then go for new rim. If not, then better use this as it wouldn't be of much harm as far as I know. But in case you want to go for new rim, it will take 2-3 hours of time depending on labor skill. First they need to remove the disk from the wheel which is quite time consuming. The reason is they need to remove the bolts which are used to bolt the disk to the wheel. These will be very tight and requires heating or real hard hammering on the bolts to loosen them. Just be right in front of them while they do this and ensure that they don't harm the disk. The bolts will be replaced as they won't be good for further use. Once, the bolt is removed, then the tyre has to be removed and fitted on the new rim which either they will do or get it done by someone else or may even simply tell you to get it done outside. Once this is done, it has to be fitted back to the bike which is quite easy task. Just ensure that they don't harm the tyre side walls while removing and fitting. Better go for machine fitting.

Got the noisy tappets of my bike adjusted.

Did a 450km high-speed run yesterday with speeds we'll above 110 continuously at 5am in the morning.

                              These are my observations
                              Bike has become butter smooth
pick up has reduced especially 6th gear.
Topspeed reduced to 135 from 145kmph.
Bike starts up as if it is suffocated and settles at 1300rpm after throttling a bit.

                              Are the tappets too tight?
I get a secondary tik tik noise other than the tappets anybody experienced it?
Had setup a HI Lo HID on both sides of headlamp and got to test it as well, bike doesn't take HID HI well even at highspeeds and engine check light switches on after an hour on the stock battery, not recommended at all. Decided to run on hid only on one side next time.

Hi guys. Im planning to buy an r15 in a few days/weeks. However, I'm not able to find any pictures of the new colors that they've launched.

Can someone point me at the right direction please?

I just want to make sure that i don't miss the chance this year too like how missed last year when they launched new 2013 colors and discontinued the racing blue.
