When i turn on the bike(not fired up), the light blinks(3-4 sec interval)
While when i turn on the engine the light is constant..

AFAIK low engine level won't trigger the orange light

It won't be a long blink more than 1 sec first check the number of long blinks(1sec) followed by the number of short blinks(0.5 sec) multiply the long blinks by 10 and short by 1 add both you will get a number tally the number with the chart Iam posting you will get which part is faulty

Guys need some help..... My Bikes side stand slit (Place where side stand spring sits, The one which is on top,Not on the side stand ) is not so deep.. The spring keeps coming out of it and now it fell somewhere on the road . Now my question is, can i do arc welding To place some washer like thing so that spring wont pop out? Is it ok to do ARC welding with so much of electronics?? Please give some suggestions

An alternate to welding: Take a washer(or flat as they call it at hardware stores) with the inner hole diameter slightly larger than the slit, but not so large that it'll slide right off.
Cut it, make a slight bend and mount in onto the slit, thereby locking the spring inwards. Then, with thin nose pliers, press the flat back to original shape.

Ran 950kms with 1150 rupee worth of petrol 80% highway cruising at 70-80kph and 20% city/hill roads.

Mileage is about 55kmpl I guess

Bike was serviced last sunday, at home, without much dramas

got 2 oil filters and 2 air filters aswell with motul 300v

a day after purchase, i had put small marks with permanent marker on major nuts and bolts
hoping they were tightened at assembly line using correct torque
did check them no major movement, but still used wrench to check if any one of them could be tighten more.
have not been able to procure a torque wrench, havent looked that hard, but its on top of shhopping list.

time taken without the wash was about 1 hour.
                          things done

                          oil drained
                          oil filter changed
                          air filter changed
chain cleaned/ lubed / slack adjusted
                          major nut checked.
brake oil, front/ back checked. no top up required
coolant checked. no top up required.
                          clutch lever adjusted

                          time for drama

started the engine and about 30 seconds or so later just when i was about to take ot out
for a test ride, realized I didnt put the new oil in

chill literally ran down my spine.

                          switched the engine off immidiately

new oil goes in. bike is started to idle for about 3-5 mins to make sure oil now goes into all places.

i remember this same being done to my previous r15 v1 at the service center after clutch change,
while i looked through the window. Ran there trying to maintain calm, but thats another story

bike has now run 1500, so 400 since sunday as servoce was done around 1100 kms

all seems to be ok for now

considering my commute 110 kms 5 days a week, i am i think next service would be due early next month.
i have to get a torque wrench by that time.

                          getting the parts was easy.

there is a stocking of original spares in karol bagh.
you can get every thing there, and whatever is not in stock is ordered
and delivery is expected within a week, or at least that is what the owner is saying.
he only deals in yamaha parts and white and red boxes are visible from the road itself
i have little reason to believe they are fake. i have seen the quality of fake ones before so atleast
the fake oil/air filter i will be able to recognize

55kmpl is great, the best i got on my v1 was 47-48 kmpl, but i could never control the urge to rev it and just gun it.

i'll try to be more calm with this one and will love if it crosses 50

Got 55kmpl because I had no choice but to ride along a bull sanely

I've heard bikes with closed loop FI will give better mileage at constant throttle. 2014 R15s getting better mileage than ever :beer:

It is provided with daytona kit, but I am not so sure that it is separately available because last time I wanted a 13T front sprocket for my v1 but they said it won't be available separately, I will have to get full daytona kit.
Do any of you guys know where I can get something like that?

I am in ahmedabad and I don't think there is any place here which will have it except this daytona.

man you're cruising the R15 on a highway at mere 70-80 kmph ? :O :| do you always ride this bike so very softly and lifelessly ? :-)

also, you might wanna recheck your calculation, 55 kmpl is unnatural for R15 under any circumstances :P
