Placing and strapping claw on R15 is a bit tricky and smart work. You just have to understand and place it properly and then tie/strap it nicely that weight inside the bag is equally distributed on the seat and also it should not move/oscillate while riding.
I am pretty much comfortable in riding along with claw and didnt faced any problem in curves. Though I dont lean the bike too much with claw() as I do when I ride without luggage/pillion , but easily escapes all corners at very good angle.

It won't break your tail light. Check that image carefully. I've aligned top flap with rear seat.

How much does front brake pads cost?
I am getting some kind of sound of from front part of the bike. I think it's because of the brake pad clamp rubbing the disc.

Looks like you got mild surface rust from storing the bike with wet chain - common in the monsoons . Brush the chain gently with an soft old toothbrush dipped in engine oil , let the oil sit for sometime and then wipe off with soft clean cotton . If you have any chain lube spray , that'll do too .

Its surface rust like the guy above mentioned. Looks like your chain is dry, lube the chain at regular intervals for a silent ride and longer chain life.
I use diesel and toothbrush to clean the chain then use rolon chain lube(available at local shops at 120 rupees). WD40 is also useful to clean the chain but its expensive.

                    • guys i have a few queries and a couple of vids for you to see and judge.

1 - the SVC are selling the main stand for R15 at about rs 900. just wanted to verify first if that's indeed the correct price quoted at other places as well or not...because 900 sounded a bit too much for it and i thought the RX main stands that also fit in R15 came for about 200 or so ?

2 - those of you who also dont go to SVC for servicing and do it yourselves, how do you properly clean the air filter without the compressed air cleaning thing ? would have got this one basic thing done at the SVC itself if they weren't charging rs 200 labour charge for small things as well. it's only 1600 kms (and 3 months) since my last free service yet so perhaps i dont really need to clean the air filter at the moment but will have to do it at some point anyway so asking it now itself since it's now in my mind.

3 - now something that either has always existed but i am only noticing now for the first time or it indeed has came up recently. so need to verify first. today while cleaning and lubing the chain i noticed that a component of the gear shifter located south-east of the left footpeg had quite a bit of free movement. i dont know if it's somehow lose now or has it always been there and am noticing only now. i have attached a pic showing which part i am talking about and a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQg7VJcl4Iw) which you can hear the tak-tak sound that is produced if you slightly move that component sideways. if this is abnormal indeed then please tell me what's the problem and how to correct it.

4 - when i press the clutch lever this sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muNMqyiMEi4) is being produced from somewhere in the bike and this is obviously not something that was always there. what's the issue here ? sounds like the clutch cable or something else in the clutch related components very dry ?

                      thanks.

@ Aditya go with RX 100 center stand. It's cheap n best. I hope ur using center stand for chain lubing purpose.

I was quoted 1000rs for the stand in Bangalore.. I took some photos of the stand they use.. Bought a stand (not sure which bike's) from local shop at rs350 got some welding done to make it like the stand they use in svc.. All done in 400rs
And the gear lever noise is present in my bike too.. It is doing its job and no signs of failure. So I don't really bother..

@Gurudatt - yeah gear system of my bike is working fine as well but still would be nice to know whether this was there from the beginning and not something that has sprung up now.
one reason i can think of for the existence of such a movement (of that component in the overall shifter apparatus) by default is to let the shifter have some free play to let itself not get too rigid in the horizontal direction. but the sound and movement is not very natural and feeble, it really gives the feeling of something (??) lose, so need to ensure this. if it's indeed lose then will have to somehow get a look under the shifter tomorrow in daylight.
@remobangalore - did you also have to weld something to allow that RX stand and connecting rod to properly attach with the R15 ?

and no mate, till date i have been lubing the chain without any main stand (except when in free services they did it on a main stand)...earlier i would call someone from around to hold and tilt the bike..other times (as with today) i lubed it by moving the bike ahead and back a few times to expose all the chain underneath to the eyes. however i have never adjusted the slack by myself so far and now gotta do it on my own since i've decided to stop going to the SVC now that all free services are over, so now it's become necessary to buy a main stand. in the next 1000-1200 kms i will have to change and refill my motul oil and oil filter so will need the main stand that time too.
