Simple...It should be done till the Rpm decreases to 1.3k/1.4k RPM (Warm Engine RPM)... Cold will be 1.6k

Hi Guys need some help from here regarding my bike.

I have been facing an issue for the last couple of days where my bike is intermittenly shutting down while its on the run. Its running normal when I am running on pilot lights, but whenever I am switching on the main lights, its shutting down. Once shut down, its losing power, lights on the console goes off. Tried leaving the clutch while on gear to restart but that also fails.
Now few pointers from my side:

        1. On the right hand side, below the black plastic cover under the handle bar, where all the wires are placed there are some plugs of different sizes (blue, black and a small white). Whenever I press a particluar one, the bike starts. Now I dont know which one as have not been able to identify.- Is it a like a loose contact ?
        2. Checked battery Voltage, its normal. (Using an upgraded 5Amp Batt)
        3. I use an HID setup where low beam has both lights and High beam has both HIDs. But have been using it for a long time and never faced an issue previously except for the horn going weak when HID is on.

        Any idea whats happening?

I am planning to take it to Sprint Yamaha (Kudlu gate) or Orion Motors (Hosur Road) if the problem persists. Can you recommend any particluar mechanic?

Also can any kind hearted soul donate their rear tyre hugger to me. Desperately in need of it. My riding is always with pillion and the mud splashes are real bad Else please let me know the part number and price, will get the same.

        Thanks a lot,
        Ride safe,
        Adhiraj

If you are looking for increase in bhp you can also opt for big bore, it ll give you at least 5% increase in bhp output n you also get increased torque .. Unless you are specific about ecu upgrade only

I have met a couple of guys who ended up with seized engine after switching to big bore.. I do a fair bit of touring.. So I don't want to risk it.. I would go for the ecu only if its going to give me noticeable increase in acceleration..

WIth only the ECU, you may notice a slight difference in the city but once beyond that, you would actually notice reduction in top speed and a little slag as you move 120 +.
My recommendation - dont go for only ECU.

adjusting the sprocket gear ratio can help in compensating the loss of top speed.

What would be effect in mileage by changing ECU.does it improve or degrade?

how did you do that though without somehow damaging/breaking it ? the screws of that panel are inaccessible unless the pillion seat is removed.

That would reduce the acceleration.. Both would nullify and i will probably end up with little or no improvement
