Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
This is the 5inch phone mount I got from rynoxgears.com for Rs.750
The mount comes with one hole, I made another hole on the opposite side
Drilled holes and tapped in the handle.. Take care because there is a supporting beam in the bottom side, make sure you don't drill into that.. Being aluminum it is easy to drill..
Got a clamp and drilled holes to fit the mount and the handle
Mount fixed to clamp
Rubber piece to reduce vibration
Fixed position
PS- does obstruct the key a bit.. But key can be put in and removed easily..

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
It does splash.. I had cut back half of the tyre hugger and retained the other half it splahed a lot.. After riding a couple of times in rain I was embarrassed and I put it back.. I wouldn't recommend removing the tyre hugger..Originally posted by Lone Wanderer View Posti have a query ,,, i saw lots of bros have removed their rear tyre hugger ,, and it looks so sexy,,, even i want to do that,,,, but then here is the thing which perplexed me,, dosent it just splash

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Hello guys,
I recently noticed some Billet Aluminum clutch and brake levers on some R15's at the service centre. First glance, I'm sold. Also, the brake fluid reservoir cap in billet aluminum. They absolutely look amazing.
If any of you have installed them, can you please let me know where you have sourced them from. Also, any internet links to the site would be helpful if sourced from internet.
Lastly, the installation, is it a DIY for a rookie? I will be going through YouTube videos once I buy it, are there any points I need to remember when I install them?
Thanks.

rishi1994.. These are available at Yamaha service center only. The levers cost some ₹2400 and the brake reservoir cap for some ₹700.
But mind you, these levers are not adjustable.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Yamaha stopped providing Daytona kit, that is what I heard from a mechanic, if at all you are doing it you will have to get it done by an experienced mechanic.. If not done properly it leads to series of problems, performance definitely improves with complete modification.. Remapped ecu, intake, exhaust, big bore, can shafts and brakes..Originally posted by Lone Wanderer View Posthmm,,, as i thought,,,,thnx fr the info bro,,,,,,, one more thing,,, , i bought in jan and rode it fr 17000 kms,, it is just so great to ride,,,but there are several some stretches of road where i felt it a little underpowered ,,, did u do Daytona Kit fr ur bike,,, i mean is it feasible ,,, ?? and more than that does it really enhance the power and all,,,,,

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Thankyou so much for an immediate reply. I had been through an old yamaha site that listed these accessories and other apparel, and it was around the time Version 1 was launched.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View Postrishi1994.. Thing is, the service centre at Thane does not stock them. Only once had I seen a pair of blue levers.
I will enquire again if they can be ordered at the service centre though.

No, Yamaha still provides Daytona kits. But these are only on order basis. Want one, give the svc your order and they will provide it.Originally posted by Gurudatt View PostYamaha stopped providing Daytona kit, that is what I heard from a mechanic, if at all you are doing it you will have to get it done by an experienced mechanic.. Had mailed to Yamaha last month inquiring about daytona kit availability and they replied with this.
You should ask the svc. They will surely have these. I have seen these levers in almost every showroom.Originally posted by rishi1994 View PostThing is, the service centre at Thane does not stock them. Only once had I seen a pair of blue levers.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
does it void the warranty if an owner stops servicing the bike at the SVC (and does it himself instead) ?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
no man, it doesnt splash heaps of mud and water on the rear light...only a little bit gets splashed over it but not nearly enough to compromise/shadow the red light coming out of it...however it does splash a lot on the bike body part just over and above the rear tyre (below the seat area).Originally posted by Lone Wanderer View Posti have a query ,,, i saw lots of bros have removed their rear tyre hugger ,, and it looks so sexy,,, even i want to do that,,,, but then here is the thing which perplexed me,, dosent it just splash

i have removed the whole rear mudguard...so all of rear tyre is exposed...so in my case it splashes a shitload of mud water on the below the seat area of the bike and even quite a bit all the way to the monoshock and some of it on the nearby areas around the monoshock which includes a section of the chain...if it's too much then i just clean the monoshock area a little bit...and yes it will splash quite a bit to the pillion too...not at all on the rider though.
so that's why i put it back on when rainy season arrives...that was the main reason of not cutting the mudguard in half but rather removing it fully so that when needed (such as rainy days etc) i can put it back in 10 mins..
since most of the year is not rainy, the ocassional splashing of the muddy water from the water spilled over the road is no bother...however if it starts raining a lot or very regularly i gotta attach the hugger back.
yes it looks very sexy with the rear tyre half-exposed (mudguard cut in half)...even more too damn sexy IMO when all of it is exposed (when the mudguard has been fully removed).Last edited by aditya_YZF-R15; 09-28-2014, 02:23 AM.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Yes, only if the bike hasn't completed one year from date of purchase and also if the owner hasn't taken any warranty extension on his bike. Else, not an issue.Originally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Postdoes it void the warranty if an owner stops servicing the bike at the SVC (and does it himself instead) ?

That's nice.. I inquired in a ASC few months ago.. They told me it is stopped...Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostNo, Yamaha still provides Daytona kits. But these are only on order basis. Want one, give the svc your order and they will provide it.

Does ASCs fit the kit themselves or it has to be done outside?

Don't know that. I had inquired for my fz and got the reply. They even sent me the part number for it to order. Naturally they will fit it themselves.Originally posted by Gurudatt View PostThat's nice.. I inquired in a ASC few months ago.. They told me it is stopped...

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
i see...that's good news for me then...my bike is over 14 months old and all the first 6 services had been done at the SVC and i had also taken that warranty extension at the time of buying the bike. .shouldn't be any issue then.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostYes, only if the bike hasn't completed one year from date of purchase and also if the owner hasn't taken any warranty extension on his bike.
