Hey guys, ever since day one, have been noticing this squishy sound which is heard when the bike goes over broken/very broken roads. It is definitely not a rattle since the fairing is well secured and so are the rear panels. The sound occurs after having observed closely, crouching down full, as the front wheel travels over the patch. Could it be the front shock ups? It does not sound a thud thud, but more like a spongy soft squish.

Inputs will be appreciated as always!

    Cheers!

I have a small creaking sound from the front suspension. Even my friend's new R15 has that. .. Anyone have any idea how to rectify it.

It could be a loose front fender.. get it tightened or it could be that the disc pistons need to be lubricated..

By the way. When do you hear this sound??

Sound is when the bike falls into pot holes. when the suspension travel is more I guess.

@ Aditya: No need to do welding. It's just like plug n play.

I think it is because of the front suspension playing when it travels long. Not to worry, same here!

1 - Well rx100 stand is perfect. I use that and stand pin , it is just a temporary fix for me, don't know if anyone has made a permanent center stand out of it. If you are not going to be using it then stick with temporary use.

2 - I use electric blower, does the job pretty well. Air filter costs 240 ,paying 200 to clean it is absurd.

3 - Yes it is there from the start, the link isn't perfect fit into the holes on the gear shifter lever side and the shifting arm below the front sprocket case. Mine has it, my friends has it, everybody has it. If you don't like 'kat-kat' sound just wound a celotape or something around the end of link and force it into those holes and fix the pin back into the place to secure the link, one of my friends has it, no kat-kat.

4 - That clutch sounds like a squeaky rat. Open up the cable on handlebars side and try putting some oil drip by drip into the tube, then see if that solves the problem.
That's one of the wierdest clutch noises I have ever heard, squishy

1 - yes dude only for temporary use of course...i asked about welding because one member wrote he had to weld something in the stand (not of rx100) to get it fixed (even for temp use) to the r15.

2 - lol i dont have electric blower either. i'll just do phoo-phoo with my mouth and bang the spongy stuff against my hand or something :P

3 - ah thanks good to know it's been always there then. damn been 15 months that i have had this bike now and still there are some things i am noticing for the first time :P..na the kat kat sound doesnt bother me, while riding one doesnt even hear it of course..i live in a campus of people most of whom dont have any bikes nor do i have any bike friends outside so i couldnt check it on someone else's bike either..there was just one hero honda bike nearby when i first noticed the shifter's lateral movement and ensuing kat kat sound in my bike yesterday, went to it to check and it wasn't making nearly as much movement and noise so kinda got worried for a minute. :-)

4 - yeah i know, lol, sounds like one of those babies' toys which make that kinda sound when deformed or like those babies' shoes which have that sound whenever the babies' walk

1 -For temporary stand get rx100's, costed me around 300 and 75 for pin or so don't remember exactly. If you look down your bike underneath there are two holes, where the pin goes through and through. Fix stand, push pin and lift off. No welding nothing needed. You'll get stand, pin and a clip which fits on grove on pin on the other side to lock the stand in place.

2 - I would take it to nearest auto workshop and have them blow air, I am sure some smooth talk and they will help you out.

Guys, I'm in need of some clarifications. Any Leo Vince GP Corsa users here?
I'm ready to get the full system from Bachoo Motors pretty soon but while searching around the web for feedback, I saw two different opinions on using a FFE.

                      1. Using a FFE on a bike with an open loop system messes up the AFR and causes the bike to run lean which damages the engine in the long run.
                      2. A FFE eases out the back pressure from the engine which increases its life?

I believe that the 1st one is right but it doen't go with the 2014 models with the O2 sensor. Now, The GP Corsa is specifically designed for the R15, So do we have to change the AFR using an FID tool inorder to avoid the bike running lean or is it just plug and play?

Someone please throw some light on this!

^^you might need to adjust the Afr , the new model with an O2 sensor is only narrow band, so not much use for modifications anyway, if you run with the db killer, you may be ok. You'll possibly need to block off the ais if it pops a lot.

Have you used it? Any access to tuning the AFR?

Any good polish out there to shine up the swing arm and rear fender? Am looking at something which gives that glossy look.

I use a race dynamics ecu and have installed a bung for a wideband o2 sensor, which I borrowed from a friend to tune my ecu. For stock ecu you need access to the Yamaha fid tool, to increase fuelling, this won't give a reading of your AFR. The version with o2 sensor is only narrow band, so not much help if you are modding.

I have been using Motomax Dashboard polish for a year now. Does the job perfectly to shine up the dashboard. After washing and lubing, apply some amount with a tiny sponge to the following:

                                1) Dashboard
                                2) Mock Carbon fitting on the sides of the bike
                                3) Rear fender
                                4) Swing Arm
                                5) HUD, Speedo
                                6) Heat shield on exhaust

*AVOID APPLYING TO RIDER OR PILLION SEAT, it becomes slippery.
Also, avoid applying dashboard polish to the throttle, brake levers.Click image for larger version
