The tankpad is very useful because the paint & that part fades away soon if tank pad is not installed. I just saw the racing tank pad at Yamaha Showroom. It costs around 700/- bucks. I guess you can get cheaper & better tank pads aftermarketsOriginally posted by ASSASSIN07 View PostGuys,
What is the cost of Tank Pad for R15 V2?
Is there any variety available in the tank pads?
Any recommendations whether its worth the purchase or not?

Owners can you tell me how is the riding comfort in city of the R15 V2 vs the old one. I had owned the old R15 for 6 months and i did not have any complaints regarding the riding stance or the comfort of the bike. I was absolutely in love with it. I was so impressed with the bike that i am planning to get the R15 again. Just wanted to know if the riding position and ergonomics have become too bad for the everyday city ride in the new bike. You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

V1 is good compared to V2 in terms of comfort but you can get accustomed to its seating posture within a months time. I see it that way, first week was super bad for my wrists, monkey bone and neck. But now it doesnt pain, iam used to the posture, the bike is a part of my body now, i feel no pain at all.Originally posted by theguitarfreak View PostOwners can you tell me how is the riding comfort in city of the R15 V2 vs the old one. About speed, ensure good top end and pick up in initial rpms.
Since you own a V1 already have you thought of tuning your bike, i wouldnt suggest Joel as such because in that amount you would actually get a factory build fast bike, No offence on that.
But since you wish to go for same bike how about this
1)Simota air filter (Anytime any day)
2)Daytona Rear sprocket kit (Anytime any day)
3)Daytona ECU kit. (Anytime any day)
4)Half throttle kit (only if you are going to ride on track)
5)Daytona Exhaust (Only if you are happy with the loud noise and a bit rise in the pick up)
This can be level 1 upgrade for your bike. later on you can go ahead with other mods. This mod is genuine and factory fit for which you would get support from the Yamaha SVC and its genuine, Joel might be 10 times better but the risk is too high and also you need to visit him for minor issues, daytona stuff can be done from your city's SVC also. Since you stay in kolkata, travelling all the way south would be a tedious affair.
Rest upto you buddy, the V2 is good, i love it personally speaking.
Posture you would get used to it lately, not much of a difference, but do think on what i said of upgrading your current steed.sigpic
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Got 17th Service done today. Major things done was the chain kit replacement and handle conekit replacement(due to the handle play from very long) and lot of other stuff. Odo shows 58,028 kms currently.
Though my R15 is V1, the below stuff should be common between V1 as well as V2 so I believe it will benefit V2 owners as well...

R15 V2 Bike Radiator/Fan Issue
Hi Everyone,
I have recently completed 1700 kms on my R15 V2 and have noticed one thing from the very beginning - the fan only works when my bike is not running. I have never heard the fan running while i m running. I service center guys says it's normal because the oil in the radiator gets cool down by air. I even raised a complaint to Yamaha. However, i didn't got a proper response from the service center guys......
Please suggest whether is normal or there is some problem with my bike.sigpic

Just relax, everything is fine. The heat sensors and the ECU manage engine heat very well. BTW, the 'oil' in the radiator is called coolant.Originally posted by vinki_123 View PostHi Everyone,
