Not a black one but here's pics of a blue R15 modified in a similar way.

P.S. - The bike is not mine, came across the pics on Facebook.

      • Hey guys,

Long time no see! Was busy with work. I need help. Its been a week since i crossed the 30 days ownership mark and I am yet to give my vehicle for service. The problem is that, I stay really far away from the service center and can only go and give my baby for service on saturdays. I plan to do this next saturday.

Is it okay that i'm extending it to 45 days for the first service? Current ODO reading: 380 kms. (Yes, I suck.)

On a side note, totally irritated with the petrol bunks in my area (OMR, Chennai). The Air-Filling service is never available. People dont give importance to this at all. So can anyone suggest a good, economical Air-Pump for my R15 V2?

dont extend service period on your own, talk to the supervisor at YASS regarding this. Reason being mein was laso 650 kms @ ODO at the time of first servicing and when i asked him the same question, his reply was "Now a days yamaha is so much strict about warranty issues, though they can cope up a delay of 3-4 days but a delay of more then a week is negligible and hence, warranty will be voided by India Yamaha Motor."

So don't take chances and while oil change, do witness it, because some mechanics have a tendency to save the oil box for later as the condition of oil currently present in your bike is as good as new.

                • If you are getting the rims painted golden, don't go for the bright golden-it looks too gaudy.
Go with the R1's shade, that suits the bike best.
My V1 has it done, except for the golden forks of course!

@sarvajit- yep you are correct, that does look shady.
And that would precisely be bronze color and not golden.

                              • Hi Guys,

ODO 5.4K Kms and happy as always.
1 strange thing happened recently after i met with a minor accident.
Earlier I used to have a cold start problem seldom in the morning or in the evening while starting off from office after 9 hours.
But after that accident, the issue has disappeared even I am riding in rains for last 3/4 days. Although I am happy but don't know the mystery !!!!

Between, ridden almost whole night on this weekend in Mumbai spanning across Thane-Andheri-Bandra-Colaba-Airoli-Panvel-Thane. I know the route is peculiar but thats how it bacame when nothing was planned .
Riding in Mumbai in late night and early morning gives you a whole lot of different feelings and R15 is adding spices to it
