        What I did was

        * took a good piece of rubber
        * cut that rubber to the size of a 25 paise coin
        * took away the metal portion of a 0.5mm ball point pen
        * inserted the tip of the ball point pen to the console
        * stuck the rubber using anabond around

Now It works perfectly fine for me.

Will post a pic of the console tomorrow
Oh God... Finally got a solution to my query.. Thanks bro.. I ll try it out and let u know
        Thanks a lot

        • Hardly been around 278kms on my sweetie. Today I found that the front tyre is punctured, even after riding all the 278kms on a highway. Man, I am in no mood to work today.

Should I give it to SVC, or do the local garage wallas remove it? And what is the proper method of removing the puncture for this tyre?

            • Done with 4th servicing. The front brake pads required a replacement, salla bambu baitha!!!

              Costs-

              Semi-synthetic YamaLube 15w50 - Rs 505
              Front Brake Pads- Rs 460
              Oil Filter - Rs 160
Brake Pad fitting - Rs 100
              Front Grips - Rs 40

Total Rs 1265 + Service Tax = Rs1421, The bill was rounded to Rs 1400

Now coming up to couple of things I wish to share

              1) Air Filter can be replaced at 12,000kms as I dint see any deterioration in performance after cleaning.
              2) Brake pads lasted only 9,000kms. Not comparing but Pulsar brake pads costed with fitting Rs170 and lasted for 16,000kms. Nissin chapri noodle making company :P
              3) I fitted those sponge grips and yes they are quite comforting, with the gloves on they are very soft, couldnt feel any vibrations today. Worth the try.
              4) Found suvarnarekha SVC to be lethargic a bit but yes their pricing is very good, dint cost a bomb to replace those pads and other things. Plus they give you 3-5 days grace period after a particular service is done, in these 3-5 days if you feel like changing any part that has been suggested in the required servicing schedule and you are bit skeptical on that day, you can come in the grace period and change it, they wont charge you labor costs.
              5) Coolant check was done, top up not required.
              6) I dint go for cleaning and lubing the chain as I perform this procedure at home.

@Kuntal - this is the video which I was mentioning for changing brake pads. DIY: Disc pad cleaning/ replacement video
In all its a 10minute job if you adhere to what they say and have the tools mentioned, would save a lot of money in regards to installation.

I have done average check and the bike is performing around 43-44kmpl after my daily highway commute, quite satisfied.

4th servicing due on coming saturday at monarch SVC itself.
I'll also have to change the front disc pads. Worn out, hardly a mm left on both sides of the disk :O Rear disc pads look quite good.
I'm going up for oil/oil filter change and the disc pad change, fairings and all the nuts and punny bolts tightening, . No chain lubing cleaning for me too by the way Eshan, This 15W50 is the specified oil right? Was confused about the grade. Any change in oil advised?

@ Partap - Stick to the grade, yes the 15w50 is specified one. Unless you have added money to spend on Fully Synthetic which cost odd Rs900 and can treat us in Blue nile coming Friday. :P

For me Rs900 right now seems off track though its best but yes so is Semi Synthetic, Rs 505 manageable hai. Avoid mineral - Rs 305, grade - 20W40, this will screw up everything.

Relax. No need to go to the SVC, the local tyre puncture guys can do it for you. Our stock tyres are nail magnets, dont be surprised if you have more punctures coming.

I returned back to bangalore last night. What a ride it was, Bangalore - Goa - Pune - Bangalore, covering 2.5k kms overall. My bad, couldnt catch up with xbhpians in Pune, will plan properly next time. The bike was a pleasure to ride. It is just fabulous on the curves. The lack of power is clearly felt on the highways though.

Got my bike serviced at Monarch Yamaha (Thanks @imrandkhan for the support). Got my engine oil and filter changed and the regular service. Since I was not carrying my service booklet, was charged 250 as labour charges and additional 100 for express service. The bike felt much smoother post service. The waxing they did was easily the best i have had at any SVC.

You just need a 14 T spanner. I tried doing that on my own but the nuts were so tight, could not get them off myself.

                          LOL @partap ?? It's Prabhat.
I'll stick to the specified oil itself. Also to add it to point. After a refill at Shell pump near Wakad. The bike is exceptionally responsive. totally worth the extra ruppee per litre. Less vibrations if that's related to fuel thing though.

@Ivin/ Nastro : Can you guys please post the pics of the light throw and spread provided by the Osram 4300K 35W white light which you have installed. 5 of us guys want to upgrade but are not sure of the difference. Also changing the pilot lamps to 12smd LED's cost 150/- for a pair. and the osram bulbs 170/- per lamp.
                          Do post the pics ASAP

Soft compound tyres are prone to get puncture more easily as compare to other tyres. The best way is to learn yourself how to get the puncture repair. This will save lot of money. Tubeless tyres repair don't take much time. But yes you have to keep the kit with yourself.

Is it that only our tyres are of this kind? or all other bikes with tubeless tyres have similar cases??! actually our roads are too bad that i dont even have any choice but to take her out across those bad terrains and pot holes..! . My bike is just a month and a half old.. Hope she doesnt get punctured ..
