Checked in J Williams. The mech there checked everything. All was good. The bearings, lubing.. The problem came out to be loose chain itself. Didn't know loose chains make such scary noise
Keep Calm and Kaam se Kaam

To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

and six services has been done. after receiving from the sixth service
im having some strange vibratory noise from the front disc area and also continuos vibratory and scratchy sound from bottom of the bike
i doubt whether its from the chain lag or chain rubbing the running area.
kindly advise the counter actions for the same
For Rachel, loose chain and get your front disc brushed and lubricated once. Will be fine.

It gets worse mate, an unattended loose chain can cause havoc. Good it got sorted out.

I hope everyone knows how to check if the chain is loose or not.
-> check the vertical movement of the chain somewhere around the mid area.
-> It should not be very loose, its 1-1.5 cm i think. Someone can quote the exact mm. Once a regular, you can make it out yourself.
-> It should not be too stiff, because once the pillion or saddle is there on rear, chain gets stiffer. Which eventually causes a lot of issues.

Not a tough job to get it tighten, i find it a bit complicated then on my ol pulsar so can't suggest a DIY here.

In fact many of the SVCs don't change oil filter in every servicing though that's mentioned in the service manual. But it's always recommended to change both the engine oil and oil filter in every servicing.
So don't worry, you can ride of course. But as you didn't change or top up the engine oil for quite a long time, just check the engine oil level before riding.
Yeah, thanx for the advice.Btw, serviced her today. The 3500km old oil made way for new one which made my ride quite smooth. On came a new filter. The guy there advised to change the rear disc pads at the next svc.I have done just 8500km, is the disc pad life this short?Should I change the front disc pads too?

Depends on usage, my front wears out at 4-5K and rear hasn't yet. Check the manual, you can make out if the it is worn out or not.

Chillax buddy! A little more details of the incident could help. What were the parts damaged or replaced? How many kms have you clocked on your bike? Did you finish the run in period? How did you follor the run in procedure?

                          • I hope anupalnag has lost somewhere with the fuel Injection system.
The fuel supply would be bothering of such a loss of rolling at speed
or their can be any air inflow through the air filter.

Hi anup . Accident damage on a bike is not always visible to us and not straightforward to diagnose , particularly because none of us here have seen your bike afterwards and you haven't posted any pics either . I guess that's why none have been able to meaningfully reply you yet .
My advice would be to take the bike immediately to your nearest Yamaha authorised service center and let them do their job(i.e diagnose the damages and give you an estimate) . I say immediately because on impact things can go wrong with a motorcycle which makes it unsafe to ride until repaired .
Welcome to the xbhp forums .

                              • Pinaki is 100% right.
meet the Yamaha service center asap,
at the end, those people are only gonna make ur bike again good.
