Thanks plz reply and just wanna share
Yamaha dealers were very kind at my place.. This incident happened when i purchased my bike: Once i had a choice to make between Cbr250r and R15.. While askin about the 250r to Honda dealers they were constantly saying it takes lots of waiting time.. if you want you can go with 150r with similar styling..! i was fed up with it so i just left out HONDA totally and asked my dad to check out YAMAHA about the R15.. He doesnt know to drive any 5speed bikes as he is pretty much accustomed to His Splendour..When he went to the YAMAHA dealer he immediately took out the keys for the test bike and gave him to ride and feel it.. My dad just smiled and said to him he just wanted to have a check if the seat is tall enough to suit his son (as i m 6ft i was worried about whether it would match me). That moment he made call and told me what happened.. i just went there took a test ride.. Next day i had college..! i rushed to home immediately went to the dealer paid the cash and brought her home This was my love story

As the looks part goes.. You can see the tyre profile 130 section looks huge after we remove the hugger.
One thing by removing you mean the complete thing right till the rear shocks? or you want to cut the ugly looking hugger extension.. both ways you can do. But I'd suggest go for cutting the hugger
Check the pic below. rightmost R15. I've cut it halfway.. If that's what you want to do

      Thanks,
i just want the Hugger to be removed,
      and its look pretty.

      • Today I went out for a highway blast with my Sweetie. Never crossed 5k rpm. Kept her under 4.5k rpm.

I observed that while accelerating the engine feels butter smooth, but at the time of engine braking after shifting a gear down, the engine sounds and feels a little harsh. I have done only 177kms yet. The first 140kms I have never crossed 3k rpm. Does the engine behave in the same way for all new R15's (during break-in) ??

          • I am a member from 2011 but got my bike this mid november, started riding it from the last few days due to delay in registration.

I am not saying that it should behave as a dragon, I am just concerned about the harsh nature of engine while engine braking. And I respect your request, wont be going past 5k for first 1000kms.

Bro try to keep it below 5k as much as possible even when an strange guy at a signal provokes you with a show off..! and my personal opinion the Engine's actual feel would be only after your first service.. These run ins are to keep your engine healthy with the seasoning of pistons and stuff inside.. in order to make it ready for the future .. I initially had a misconception during my break in.. When i used to shift down the sound of the gear would be harsh..! i thought it was a bad thing and the bike had a mistake .. Then my friends ridiculed me saying that it was because i was shifting down quickly from 60kmph to 0 without doing it on par with the speed of the bike.. then i realized my mistake and shift down only after reducing the speed of the bike to keep it on par with the gears.. as far as your problem is concerned i dont think there is anything wrong either.. just wait for the run in to complete with absolute patience..

I will never cross 5k rpm during first 1000kms. I have always kept her below 4.5rpm, as said mostly below 3k rpm.

My dealer gave my bike on 8th nov I guess, but he gave me registration number, papers and manual on 23rd november (my bday ), so my service interval starts from 23rd november as mentioned in the service booklet.

                  Got this today, finally

I never liked black color for R15 v2
When the tyres becomes dirty, the black color looks ugly.
if want to maintain, plz keep the walls of tyres clean always.
                            and always waxpol the dashboard.

                            • Hi, was wondering If there are any options to add crash guards, checked online in searches, but didn't find a reliable answer, cbr250r u can fit one and most of other sports full fairing bikes, they are like a set of 2 sides, placed in a way hits first b4 fairing hits the ground.
