Be glad, that it din't pucture on rough stony patches!! When there was a road repair in my area, My bike's tyre use to get puncture by small stones which use to have some small pointing edges, but not so pointy that it should puncture by tyre !! And you will find mostly rear tyre gets puncture.
There are some alternate options which can be fitted into R15, but it lacks the grip which our tyre poses. I had used one tyre don't remember the name, it wasn't a soft compound and it was in good condition till the time i used it(5 months daily 40kms). made up of some alien compound...lol..

It's better to be with stock tyre only!! I guess even CBR 150/Duke has the same soft compound tyres.

@ All - I dont know which site was it, but had seen riding techniques for pillion on a SBK, prolly an R6, not finding on the net.

Does anyone has data where Motorcycle Riding with Pillion is explained, not the ones which has grab rails. Finding it bit tough in office to check the links cz of security. NEED IT ASAP.

I went to a local puncture wala to fix the punctured front tyre. That guy checked by all possible techniques (incl the foam one), but wasnt able to see any puncture. He filled up 28psi again. Asked me to come back tomorrow and check if the pressure has gone down.

HOw long you have been using this tube. Maybe the tube is week. For me there was an issue like air will stay only for one week.
What I feel is someone must have deliberately removed air from your front tires.

I had my R15 v2.0 serviced last week.
First free Service .... got it serviced at Borivali SYC ... (damn good workshop!!)
Normal Charges : Rs 800 INR (Oil Change and Oil Filter change) + Plus i paid an additional Rs 500 for the Teflon coating on the color .. The black looks more black .. ...
The bike has done almost 800 Kms so far, started pushing it a bit after it crossed 600 Kms .... the bike feels brilliant thoughout the entire rev range .......
Am thinking of installing the White headlamps at the SYC for an additional 1500 bucks for better visibility and change the connections to that both bulbs light up when using Dipper ....... (instead of the one that lights up normally) .....
Have heard output goes to 22 BHP after installing the Daytona kit .... has anyone here done that so far .....?

The tyres of R15 are TUBE LESS.

I got my bike in mid november and till now it has been only 278kms . If the tube would have been weak (had it not been a tubeless tyre )then air would have leaked slowly. In my case I checked and maintained the pressure at 28psi yesterday. When I saw it today in the morning, it was flat, so I am sure its not a weak tube as in case of normal tyres with tube. I think the man who maintained the pressure yesterday might have failed to stop the back rush of air through the nozzle.

I asked showroom Guys to exchange few parts from anvry model to my Red and white
After changes it looks same as R125
more sexy and attractive rear end
got the keys at 12.50 pm
Gears are butter smooth, slight lift to liver changes the gear without making any kind of sound and jerk to the gearbox.
made 160km on the first Day.
as my shift timings are from 7pm to 4am(US timings)
i reached my office at 11pm.
i cant believe, every person knows that i got my bike and cheering my name like i won the Formula 1 Race, LOL.
Everyone started test drive.
cant believe its me who made everyone out of office just to see my Bike.
Each person took the Test drive and when they come back after test drive,
makes faces and says WHAT A BIKE MAN.
Butter Smooth Gear Box.
One of the office mate got a new 200NS few days back and he said that the pick up is same. after ridding R15 when i got a ride of 200ns, Feels like CT 100, dnt like the exhaust note of it).
I cant believe that only test drive took 18kms in total only by my office mates.
One thing to share- palms were paining very much.
i fuel for Rs500,
and got 4 bar points in the meter,
1st point perished at 84km
2nd point persihed at 160km
I think 1 point is for 100rs
Still left with 2 points

Now this is where I need an expert opinion. We are going to Lavasa via Khandala Ghat on 22nd December. My bike will complete about 850kms till 22nd before we leave for lavasa. That route has got steep climbs (ghats). I will be getting my sweetie serviced on 19th december, just to allow the new oil to settle in before leaving for a long trip. Now after all these planning, I want to know, whether its OK if the engine gets stressed in ghats? I wont be doing above 5krpm before 1500kms for sure. (No pillion, and I am just 60kgs)

Dude, having R15 and not hitting the ghats is crime
Only then you will realise the engine power and the handling capability of R15.
We go for ride to ghats/highways every weekend and believe me people love ghats/twisty roads anytime better than straight highways while on R15.
So dont worry, enjoy.

By the way why is this caution?
Isn't the RPM limit is 7.5K at ~ 1000kms ? Don't keep it always below 5K, an occasional high RPM run is necessary.Definitely follow the Run-in mentioned in Manual, but when it say's you can go upto 7.5 K, don't just keep below 5K.

My only worry is, is it OK if I stress the engine in break-in period by climbing up the ghats? My guess is that 5k rpm on a plain road and 5k rpm on a climb put different amount of stress on the engine? Can anyone clarify?

Guys Can you please suggest what are the performance mods possible below 7K..? And I heard that 5amp batteries are advised for HID + Projec combo..! Ours a 3Amp right? Since the stock battery change would ruin the warranty Can we use up an additional battery?? What you guys have done for ur Projectors please share ur secrets along with possible performance mods that are affordable..
