the bike slammed at the divider at the speed of 80-90kms on the rt hand side YFS guys told dat's the damage from outside for visor parts and the rt handle bar had some bent and abot the speed locking they told that may be the air filter or something they will inform me. It has done 3.2k kms 3rd service is due. Run in was maintained well.Originally posted by rahul_pranay View Post

thanz pinaki i have already given my bike to the YFS they are looking for the probs but at first they mentioned dat may be the airfilter that is the culprit but i dont think so i hv already clocked my ride at 120km/hr before the incidentOriginally posted by Pinaki View PostHi anup . Accident damage on a bike is not always visible to us and not straightforward to diagnose , particularly because none of us here have seen your bike afterwards and you haven't posted any pics either . I guess that's why none have been able to meaningfully reply you yet .
My advice would be to take the bike immediately to your nearest Yamaha authorised service center and let them do their job(i.e diagnose the damages and give you an estimate) . I say immediately because on impact things can go wrong with a motorcycle which makes it unsafe to ride until repaired .

I had sent a mail to healtech electronics for GIpro gear indicator, got the following reply,
For the R15, you need the GIpro X-type, part no:
GIPRO-X + GPX-Y03
For the CBR250R, part no:
GIPRO-X + GPX-H02
Cost is 89 EUR per kit, shipping is 8 EUR per order by airmail.
If you order 5 kits, we will ship by TNT express, which will take about 5
days and it has online-tracking service and insurance.
Normally the extra cost for TNT is about 50 EUR but we can give this option
free for 5 kits.
You can place your order on our web:
HealTech Electronics Ltd.

Guys, as written in manual it is necessary to use UNLEADED petrol only?? Or normal petrol is fine?
What if I use unleaded petrol when I have already used normal petrol?
I am still not able to decide, can we keep the engine kill switch ON permanently? or it should be used frequently?
If it should be used frequently, then whats the sequence while turning the bike off? engine kill first or ignition first?

Hi, I got my front disc pad changed in 4th servicing itself( ODO: 8958 kms), but rear is still fine(now ODO 14K kms). I normally use the front 90% of the time, so it depends on usage.Originally posted by Sushrut View PostGot the same color here
Yeah, thanx for the advice.Btw, serviced her today. The 3500km old oil made way for new one which made my ride quite smooth. On came a new filter. The guy there advised to change the rear disc pads at the next svc.I have done just 8500km, is the disc pad life this short?Should I change the front disc pads too?
yes, it's available. I got it for rs/-550.Originally posted by Karthik2501 View PostGuys is it possible to get the visor for the helmet(LS2) seperately?? meant the glass that is not tinted for night time usage..! How much would it cost?
'normal petrol' is the same 'unleaded' one which you get in fuel station. so just go for the regular petrol.Originally posted by chiragsthakur View PostGuys, as written in manual it is necessary to use UNLEADED petrol only?? Or normal petrol is fine?

Yes you can remove it.. Though just keep it safe with the bolts so that you can fix it again in monsoons and avoid a modern art on other people.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostHi,
Can you guys plz tell me shall i remove the Mug guard.
I think that makes more sexy.
As the looks part goes.. You can see the tyre profile 130 section looks huge after we remove the hugger.
One thing by removing you mean the complete thing right till the rear shocks? or you want to cut the ugly looking hugger extension.. both ways you can do. But I'd suggest go for cutting the hugger
Check the pic below. rightmost R15. I've cut it halfway.. If that's what you want to do

It depends on the way you drive buddy. There are people on this thread who even got 42 kmpl during run in. And yea the r15 v2 has both front and rear tubeless tyres.

Dude, where is this showroom? Complain this to the manager or Yamaha itself.
About the mileage, I get around 35-40 kmpl with ODO 14K kms and I know guys who get even around 50kmpl some time (even after 8K ODO),sounds bizzarre but true as we ride in same group, so know it well.
And yes, the pillion seat is not at all comfortable for long trips, but small rides can be done easily.Last edited by kuntalnag; 11-27-2012, 04:11 PM.sigpic

The rids is as good as it can be, can refer to polls for the average. With sane riding, 35 is attainable.
And yes, tubeless tires.Ride On,

hahaha LOL.. 35kmpl under insane riding conditions.. I havent gone below 42kmpl till now almost 8K on ODO (sane insane twisties/highway rides). best I got was 52kmpl in run-in tank full to tank full method. As kuntal is stating we have a rider who gets almost 50 on highway ripping don't know how but he gets.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostGuys,i went to the showroom yesterday with my dad to show him the bike.........And i was convincing him with the seats and then suddenly a wild showroom guy appeared.....My dad just asked some question about the bike and he said it a sports bike and it gives only 25 kmpl mileage.....I was like
