My previous bikes: Splendor (2003 to 2010) and Stunner (2010 to 2012)

After decided to go with new bike, I shortlisted CBR 150 R and R15 V2.0 in this segment as per my budget and sports bike look.

When I took test ride both R15 and CBR 150, My heart says R15, so I booked R15 LE white on same day and I got my bike on Last month 19th from Panche, Bangalore. Till date no single issue with the bike, it’s running good. I am totally happy on my decision to go with R15. When I decided to go with R15, I had concern of wrist and back pain; but I am not getting even I am commuting to office everyday (Around 17 KM one side).

Still long ways to go to tell I am impressed with this bike, but still R15 already impress me a lot

Thanks to all for your experience and input in the forum which made me to go with this perfect Baby R1…..
      Congratulations buddy

          hello guys,

i bought my (white beast) r15 v2 LE nearly 20 days back. And noticed that the number plate light in the back near the tail is not working.. and rest of the all lights are working perfectly..it was working earlier.i'm worried about this..i bought the bike in hyderabad but as of now for a couple of i came to warangal.i went to svc in warangal and told him about the problem,he was saying that it comes under the warranty so we cant touch any thing u contact with the dealer where you have taken it only.
could you guys please throw some light on this issue and rectify the problem.

take it to a yamaha service center. should be either the bulb gone or lose wiring. not a big issue. ask them to change it in the warranty thing.

Ask your dealer what can be done in this situation or shoot an email to yamaha.

                  • Hey everybody was out of sync for long.
The other I just happened to go to pro-biker on MG road. The guy there was installing philips 55w projector setup on this babe. When enquired about, he told me that the bulb will cost around 1000 per piece and for installing there were 2 options
                    1. pay 200 as installation charges for each bulb which will include everything right from ballast to wiring so that would be 2000 bucks for bulbs and 400 for installing those..=2400/-
                    2. pay 500 per side as installation charges and it will cover every minute thing caused while installing like if the fuse shorts out or for some reason the bulb goes kaput or even if any sensor/console goes bonkers it will be replaced without any extra charges. so in all that would take the total to 2000+1000, 3k for 55w HID's 6000k temperature.

As for the projector setup 1500 per side additional.. and yes one more thing battery will have to be put in.
I was telling the guy that the factory fitted battery in R15 wont take up so much load being a puny 3.5A.. He was hell bent on telling me ke "Sir R15 ki battery 9 A ki hai, 3.5A ki ho hi nahi sakti."

Well anybody going for any bulb change apart from this 55W thing ??

Well, its now a known thing that the "mechanic/electrician" doesn't even know anything about the R15's internals. 55w is way too much, and there's a high chance that it will blow the whole electrical system of ur bike,AFAIK. 2x35w HID with projector is still acceptable and change battery to 5A or 7A max. Plz let experienced guys handle ur babyR.

                      • Hi,
I did my road trip from nagpur to bhopal, my request to the riders, please dnt go to that route which is NH 69 its has gone worst from Saoner MH to Obdullahganj MP.
attached a pic which is one of the good road i have found on the trip, from the pic you can imagine what can be worst if this is good.

started from morning 4am to evening 4pm
Me and My Girlfriend did this trip together as she did not allowed me to go alone.
Although i ended up by a wrong way and exceeded 30 km which was horrible from hoshangabad to obdullahganj,
Tough up tubes helped me to tackle the road conditions
took 12 hours to complete just 400 km.
                        I realy loved my ride.

                        • Someone did 5th servicing and which includes greasing front and rear bearings, i think the bearings is been filled with grease which does not leak and it last for life long. and if you try to grease even though its useless, and it is been charged for 150 to 200 rs
                          thats horrible
plz let me know if i am wrong anywhere.

I'm as it is not going for that headlight upgrade.. It's just what I came across.
@Eshan are you going in for the Osram 35w bulb?

Can anyone please highlight the above mentioned query, I carry zero knowledge on that, also would be hitting that service somewhere in Jan. Would be good to know some knowledge on that.

Yup, but time is not in my hands, actually living on weekends, did you install it on your ride? Puspal a V1 owner said its a home job, plug and play types.
