You are talking of PSD my brother. If you wanna upgrade to wider front tyre, please upgrade to a wider rear tyre as well, but proportionately else the balance and stability will go for a toss.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostThanks, actualy i have seen that the bikes with big front tyre looks more sporty and heavy,
R125 also contains the 100/80 front tyre and many of other. they realy look better if we compair only the front looks
R15 v2 front tyre looks little small to me.
perillie has 100/80 front tyre but dnt know the price.

Guys is it true that yamalube is actually made by motul?
And if yes, somebody has said that it seems motul doesn't manufacture yamalube anymore because yamalube is one of the cheapest engine oil currently in the market.. Can somebody please confirm??

Had a chat with one of my fav yammy mechs. Some bits from the chittar chat we had.
+ There were some talks of two type of sproket available for r15, one being 3K and other 1.2K.
Well, the 1.2K one is local and is not to be used.
+ Sproket life at around 12-15K.
+ Around 15K tyre life.
+ he ruled out the 5 amp + 55w x 2 combination i had in mind. Said it just won't work.
Also, if someone is looking for tyre change. Its around 3100 for rear and around 1800 for front.
Given the ride for greasing today, it had a sloppy feeling and just didn't felt like a r15.
Hope for the best.
AFAIK, Yamalube is Motul. Did you know, that the same oil we get in r15 is used for r1, vmax as well ?
I don't think that will be the cheapest oil in market.Ride On,
Akshat

Guys, I asked two yamaha dealers here in Mumbai about the availability of a tankpad, but they said they dont have it. One dealer says that tankpads were ordered from yamaha few months back but havent delivered it yet. I want one before 12th nov ( The day I will get my baby r1). Can some mumbai guys suggest me where I can source it from?
Also can anyone suggest me a good looking helmet matching sunset red r15 within 3k? I asked for SOL metalman red, but the seller here in mumbai says its 5.2k, whereas SOl site says 4.5k.Yamaha RX135 (1998) - Stolen

That's because local taxes and octroi are over and above the price mentioned on the SOL website...Originally posted by chiragsthakur View PostI asked for SOL metalman red, but the seller here in mumbai says its 5.2k, whereas SOl site says 4.5k.
Thanks for the update Akshat. What are signs of sprocket wear? Does that also mean the life of chain set is also 12-15k kms?Originally posted by nastrofaction View PostHad a chat with one of my fav yammy mechs. Some bits from the chittar chat we had.

Are you referring to the Yamaha racing tank pad(the black one which comes with the LE) or anything else?Originally posted by chiragsthakur View PostGuys, I asked two yamaha dealers here in Mumbai about the availability of a tankpad, but they said they dont have it. If the Balck one, then I suppose it's hard to find in Mumbai as I was searching for that for 2 months but could not find. Although the Thane SVC was having it but quoting a price of 1K where as this costs now only Rs/-450.
I settled for another one from the Kamla Yamaha at Lower Parel. You can check there.Last edited by kuntalnag; 11-02-2012, 07:06 PM.sigpic

Look at the sprocket teeths. It becomes very sharp once its life is finished, and it does not mean your chain is also done. Chain could be in a better condition, but thats rare too...Originally posted by TeeJayy View PostWhat are signs of sprocket wear? Does that also mean the life of chain set is also 12-15k kms?
Voa, Yamaha Vixion 250 ? Or R25 with a R series like head lamp change ? Its structure is sure a Deltabox.Originally posted by blizviz View PostThe following concept bike was recently showcased at the launch of the 2013 Yamaha Vixion at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show in Indonesia.
It is based on the 2013 Yamaha Vixion. Some stlying elements have been taken from bigger bikes of the Yamaha stable.
Afterall, it might be the faired vixion for the indo markets..Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Yes, its based on the new Vixion, same frame, engine, tank, but everything else is different. The Indonesians have been craving for a faired version, so this might be a teaser for what they might get!

Personally, i felt it to be like some mod done by some person, like the cafe racer of the RE we had in this years Auto expo.
And again my personal opinion, it looks ugly.
Cheers
