    Got the following done:
    1. Engine oil and oil filter changed. Went for Yamalube SS this time, will switch back to Shell at the next service.
    2. Spark plug changed.
    3. Swingarm, coneset and wheel bearings greased.
    4. Fork Oil changed.

My air filter was changed a little earlier so did not change it at this service.

Overall, very happy with the service, the bike feels much more smoother, a touch quicker and more tightly coupled.
Breakup of costs is as below: (Dont have the invoice in front of me, I am quoting to the best of what I can remember)

    Engine Oil 420
    Oil Filter 150
    Fork Oil 50
    Spark plug 127
    Consumables 50
    VAT @ 14% 111.58
    Labour:
    Fork Oil change 150
    Swingarm grease 250
    Service tax @ 10% 40
    Total 1349
    Thanx for that update buddy.

What all things do I need to check while taking her from the showroom?

Can we have a summary of the recommended oil and run in method in the first post itself?

Ensure the chain is lubed wellNo visible scratches on the fairings, esp when it comes to the bottom part of the fairingsMirrors aren't very tight but bolted tightCheck for instrumentation panel & surrounding for scratchesCheck if the instrumentation is working as per the buttons & Ensure the proper working of all the electronicsMake sure you have more than 3 liters of fuelDo look for abnormal gaps in the fairingsAsk for topped up coolantEnsure vehicle can be locked properly ((LEFT side))Ensure the entire engine kill, light switches & brake lights are working. Check at least 2-3 timesCheck for rusts anywhere on the metal parts (Frame, forks, brake pedal)Check for first aid kitCheck for tool kit & First Aid KitInvoice copyInsurance copyPollution under control stickerEnsure that RC book & tax token will be delivered in specific number of daysPls ensure the paint quality by touching whole of the bike with your fingers.. The gap between fairing and tank is to be checked on both sides. Also check if your stickers do not have a bubble.

The above checklist is from the CBR thread, edited some points as our bike does not have those options.

For running in speeds and rpms pls check user manual. There is no need to change oil or oil filter before first service, please go through the manual very carefully. In the first service oil and oil filter will be replaced.

@All - Finally got the Puncture repair kit. The delivery was quick and packing is good too. Lets see how it works out now, at work place now will go home and get it done. Attaching a pic.

@IVIN - Please post the pic of the box bhai.

@all - Had been for a short spin, just close by and in city limits. Will upload few pics of the bike.

The bike comes with semi synt yamalube from factory. so the SVC will use the same while you service.
There are certain things you will need to check when u get the bike, like, engine oil level, chain lubed or not, coolant level, all electric stuffs working or not, others please add anything more needed.
go through the manual properly for the runnin in, its more then enough. do not take too much tension about it. simple as that.
and congo on your choice colour?

@ron syl Dealers from airoli(navi mumbai) and ganesh yamaha (vikhroli, mumbai) are ready to give LE white, but are asking a hefty price of Rs.147000/- which is totally unacceptable to me. I guess ir was 134000/- earlier

                    • Guys what about lighting both the headlights on dim? Many of the owners have done it. I guess we should be able to get adequate lighting on dim if we do that. I'm thinking of it. Any suggestions?
Is there a specific reason for Yamaha to make it only lit one at a time on dim(like battery saving or so) or just the typical 'R' series DNA is carried over?

I guess it has something to do with battery life.
I'd that mod done on my bike for a brief period. There was a slight improvement [almost negligible] in lighting but battery issues started cropping up. So I returned back to stock setting. Now that I'm using 5amp Amaron battery I replaced the dim side bulb with a 55/60W one. Works better than stock but still inadequate I would say.

Spending the price of a double cheese, chicken, egg roll on punctures forced me to buy that kit.

Expect draining in the battery, there is a possibility that it might not but there is a risk.

Definitely a risk, but can changing the battery to a 5A one take 55w + 55w while on bright? I think that too is a risk.
