it wont affect anything. no to worry the main thing is the ODO meter. which goes on recording the total number kms traveled from the beginning. the 2 trip meters work independently. and the F kicks in when the petrol is around 1.9. there will be + or - 3 to 4 kms approx wrong reading. cant help. no matter if the F is on or anything, all the 3 meters keep reading the kms traveled

To add onto what Ron said, the 'F-' meter does not replace the odometer, it comes in addition to the 3 (odo, trip1, trip2). The next time u get the F- flash, press the reset button as u do it to scroll across the meters and you would notice that all the 4 meters are running.

        Full tank method is:
*Fill up to the neck of the tank
        *Reset the trip meter
*ride how many Kms you want... say 400kms
*again fill the tank fully and check how many litres does it takes to get it full (eg:10 ltrs)
*divide the Kms/ltrs.. 400/10=40 gives u the exact fuel efficiency

Why i mentioned full tank method is... Its very known that digital fuel guage are not accurate... hence reserve meter comes in too quickly or little late... so i suggest u to try both..

I ride solo as well as with pillion.. weekdays fully in city and weekends in highways

I ride at 5-6k rpm in city and in highways 80-100kph (constant) & 120's and 130's inbetween..

Thank you every-one for clearing out my doubts!

also pls suggest a good chain lube...not too expensive but a good one!

Well your bike is a premium segment bike, so do for the motul clean and motul lube. I suppose it is expensive but will last long so wont put a hole in your pocket

Go for Tribocor. Costs 300 for 500 ml against ~Rs. 500 for motul. Works good and lasts even more.

              !
In Noida, they just charged Rs. 100 for chain cleaning and lubing, nothing extra (may be some tax too), they should not be charging extra for cleaner and lube..

              • which brand of front disc brake does the R15 v2.0 have, coz there no branding on it, only the brake line say bosh automotive systems.
the rear has nissin embossed on the caliper, but nothing on the front one!

also whats the procedure to remove the rider seat as i want to access the battery, the procedure mentioned in the manual is very vague
i am growing old, but not up!

                • Guys, need help. Can someone please tell me how to remove the piece marked in the picture? There is some sort of black pin at the bottom. How do we remove it?

Try using petrol and see if it goes off!

Yeah those black pins are the fiber screws and are very easy to remove...there are 3 of them in the bottom panel...all you have to do is press the center portion of the screw inside with an allen key provided in ur tool kit and then the screw can be removed easily!

                          • I too went for a small ride. But the pics are in my FB account which is restricted in office..

The road was bit bumpy but all was it ease with the bike.

I desperately need a paddock stand for chain lubing, is there any other way to get it done?
Not the two man method where one pushes it ahead and the other lubes the chain.

Will be getting the registration done on wednesday, iam in still lookout for tankpad, i saw the ebay.in link but dint find them good.
