Finally the wait is over
Finally the wait is over. Will be getting the delivery today. But i m damn annoyed with the dealer. The thing is that i m a very impatient person but i don't like bothering other people so i used to call him very often to enquire about the delivery. But yesterday when i called he said it 's going to take few more days but suddenly he says "sir can i call you back". i m like ok then he says ya the registration is also done on your name. I m like dude when are you going to tell me. Although i wasn't in town but still. How ever i m very very excited. Have few plans to change on my bike but later.

Yeah, may be I need to try-out shifting gears at higher RPM's.. andOriginally posted by gklc811 View Postgoing beyond 7500 rpm past 1500 kms would not damage your engine at all...
You need not to any tuning to attain 140kmph...
Just do a quick shift from 5th to 6th at 10500rpm and you will easily see 140+...
May be the wind dragged down your top speed to 130.
will try changing Riding posture...was riding in normal posture and wind was holding me back..
I have been using Shell regular petrol always.. may be will switch to Premium to get higher Octane..Does this help getting more speedOriginally posted by suraj_vanse View PostThe run in recommended in the manual is 1000km.Changing the oil will not make difference in top speed. I guess using higher octane petrol like speed 97 mite give you a very little increase in pick and as well as top speed.Am not too sure about this.Experts should confirm.
.Duck in to achieve more top speed. It will give you a bump of atleast 7-8 kms.
I have done 145
I like the idea though
Adding pic of my weekend ride... thanks!Last edited by Daytona; 04-17-2012, 01:50 PM.A good rider is one who looks at both side of the road, even on One way!

Guys, today i noticed a weird noise while changing the gears from 2nd to 3rd. Generally i change the gear at about4-5k rpm for the initial 3 gears, but today when i changed from 2nd to 3rd at arnd 5-6k rpm, it made a 'thud' noise. Normally the gears falls into place with a nice 'click' sound to it, i dnt know wats causing my bike to make such a noise.
Has any1 noticed the same thing on ur bikes.
P.S.: Bike has covered 1200 kms and rest of the gears are just fine.

Completed my second service today. Gears are more smoother, engine butter smooth as always.
But they just changed the engine oil and cleaned and lubed the chain. But didnt change the oil filter. They told me it needs a change only after 10k kms. (Already changed at 1k) .
I thought we should change the oil filter at every service. Was i wrong ?
I'm too lazy to check the manual...
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Thanks buddy! Yeah, even the best of the pics cannot show the real beauty of this babe!Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View Post^Dint know yours was fiery red.
It sure does look better live than in pics. Even your pics dont depict its true hotness.
@The guy with the colour question: The 50th anni is Hot. Super hot. I have it and to me its the best colour in the whole wide world.
So what you gotta do is have a look at all 5 of them and decide.

No optics can compare the Human Eye.
And yeah, take a look at all the five and then decide!
Thanks a lot buddy, she did blow me at the first look itself!Originally posted by Daytona View PostCongrats Bro...
pics are really cool, I have seen this color and the bike looks blowing
Lovely Pic.. I thought its Red/White R15 V2.0 at first glance with noticeable changes on on Tank and Side faring, blitz of stickers

We are Happy to help! Make a wise decision also thinking about the future! You shouldn't regret.Originally posted by neodecoder View PostThanks to Shreyas, Daytona, ABikerAtHeart and others for your help. Yes, I'll try my best for White LE. If not, Sunset Red.
Fiery Red, I will definitely consider and try to have a look and decide.
Note: Yes, please don't quote the images in ur replies.
@ Mods/Admins, sorry for posting such big pics, won't happen again.
The manual suggests a run-in period of 1000 kms!Originally posted by Daytona View PostHad been on weekend ride towards Tumkur, National Highway.. The bike was giving 130kms as top speed with full throttle on high windy highway, wasn't going beyond.. and it was just 1800+kms on ODO when I couldn't resist to ride below 7.5rpm (Does this affect the run-in period of 2k??).. Finally the ODO has crossed 2000kms, the run-in recommended by Yamaha..
The Bike is pretty stable, its just I wanted more and more speed.. to catch-up with Ninja's
The bike is Super cool to Cruz at Avg. speed of 120kms/Hr, effortlessly..
Does using Fully Synthetic E-Oil help moving the Top speed beyond 130kms+ in any condition..
Any other recommended tunings to increase the performance..
love to see 140kms+ on Speedo..
Even I started opening the throttle gradually! Also I could reach only 130 with a very heavy crosswind, despite of shifting at 10+ RPM!
But, this was without crouching!
People here have attained 140+.
It also depends on the rider's weight I guess.. I'm 85
so I'm OK with 130, although I would Love to have some more!
May be an R25 would suffice!
(Waiting)
Thats great! What about the wind condition?Originally posted by suraj_vanse View PostThe run in recommended in the manual is 1000km.Changing the oil will not make difference in top speed. Try AH Helmets in Andheri(W), near Infinity mall, Lotus petrol pump, besides a tire dealer. Tell him you are from XBhp, and hope to get a discount.Originally posted by nughty_guy77 View Posthey guys the wait seems to be so long and drivin me nuts

first things first, screw that guy, next since you are the owner of the bike its even your responsibility to have a look at your bike before taking the delivery, those people can tel that they had done everything properly. have a look at every possible thing you can.
