For the Sunset Red, just see it from the side and the back then its awesome but from the front i don't like the single tone red color.
Now coming to the Midnight Black (this is very decent color), if you don't want to showoff the bike for the security purpose then this is the color for you. As i got this color for the same reason.Yamaha recommended oil (Semi-Synthetic) http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/members/...sae-15w-50.jpg

But those bike will easily attains 80 km/hr and it starts struggling to go more Further speeds .
Simple note - Short / Middle geared bikes are meant for initial pickup , where as Long geared bikes are meant for to achieve TOP SPEED in ease ..

Its just that I feel it loaded sometimes, when we need to overtake even around 7 K. Need to give her some more time.

I have done Two services until now and haven't specifically asked them to change the Air/Oil-filter, may be they are cleaning it at every service and I know for sure Oil has been changed.. I have no complaints on engine, its pretty healthy. Does changing Air/Oil-filter help reduce Vibrations??
Also would be great if you elaborate on "Should clean the front sprocket and see"... Did this help reducing the vibration in handlebar?
Thanks..
They change the Oil filter during first service! Please make sure that your's is changed too.
Me too waiting for the answer!

Cool, see you at the ride.

My decision and I'm Happy as Heaven!

I'm Vinaysh and I live in Chennai. I'm a biker at heart. I have been following this thread for a really long time. I really admire the kind of dedication and passion you guys have towards biking. There are some of you who are regular here and post valuable advice/tips. xBHP is the best biking community in India, thats for sure.
Coming to the bike, finally since I have the money to buy R15 V2, I'm going to book it next month. This will surely be my last bike. Its an upgrade from a Pulsar 150 UGIII.
I'm fully aware that color preference should be the owner/buyer's choice. But I would really like to hear from you R15 V2 owners the million dollar question - "Which color looks best on this bike?"
Racing Blue - Ruled Out as I'm sure I don't want it because its too standard and common right from V1.
Now the choice lies between:
SUNSET RED and MIDNIGHT BLACK.
Please suggest. I'm simply looking for something sporty, manly and classy. Something that will look fresh even after 5 years.
Thank you SO much!
P.S. I will go for the 50th Anniversary LE White IF it is available next month but as far as i know, its all booked/out of stock at every dealership i've enquired in Chennai. But, incase it isnt, I would have to go for one of the regular ones. I don't like the Fiery Red Edition with its flame graphics.
Booked the Sunset Red (4 months waiting). I was desperate to get her.
After 3 months, was getting the Black, but waited for Red.
Auto-Expo showed us 2 new colors! The Fiery Red looks crappy in the Expo pics!
After 4 months got a call from dealer stating that the Fiery Red has come to the showroom. I pounced on him saying "Even if you ask me to wait for a month, I'll wait, but I won't take that crappy color"
But I was so wrong!
Next day just casually visited the dealer, saw the LE Red standing in the Sun, and she just blew me off! I liked the color so much that took her home that day itself (Paid the money and took the keys; didn't even take the Papers!)
Almost everyone whom I met, and who expected it to look shitty from the pics, actually liked the color! Lava Red!

^Dint know yours was fiery red.
It sure does look better live than in pics. Even your pics dont depict its true hotness.
@The guy with the colour question: The 50th anni is Hot. Super hot. I have it and to me its the best colour in the whole wide world.
So what you gotta do is have a look at all 5 of them and decide.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

Thanks to Shreyas, Daytona, ABikerAtHeart and others for your help. Yes, I'll try my best for White LE. If not, Sunset Red.
Fiery Red, I will definitely consider and try to have a look and decide.
Note: Yes, please don't quote the images in ur replies.
@ Mods/Admins, sorry for posting such big pics, won't happen again.

Oil: Change to whatever grade the bike comes factory installed with.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

As for oil, R15 comes with semi-synthetic so dont even think of mineral oil..go for semi-synthetic..yamalube 20w50...Solo ride to Ladakh - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...ia-ladakh.html

I am a proud owner of a R15, purchased from Orion Blore, it has clocked 1500 kms.First service is completed.
Now when i go to 6th gear and speed is within 75 to 90, i get a feel that the front portion is shaking a lot. Orion folks disagree with me, have escalated to the higher authorities. Karnataka chief mechanic came and told teh same thing. I rode a stock one and it didnt give that feel. Is it the knocking sound of the engine due to which i get the feel?
Is anyone facing the same problem?
