That is the standard rate, they use Yamalube.

          • Guys, isnt the bike supposed to have a min-max level indicator of coolant ??
I'm going for a long trip today , so for checking the coolant level, i opened up the coolant box myself, but couldnt find the minimum max level. Do we need to fill the coolant fully ..??

The manual clearly says that there is a coolant level indicator..But using only the manual even I could not locate the indicator..Had planned to get this cleared at the time of first servicing (within the coming week)..

                  1. When I went to the spares section and asked for Yamalube chain spray and lube, he gave me Motul spray and lube.

                  2. I confirmed with the service mechanic at the ASC, he said they use motul spray and lube during servicing. When I further asked, he said Yamalube and Motul chain spray and lube are the same

                  Any comments?

                  • Its mentioned in the manual..(I personally haven't checked it)..

The coolant level indicator is a cream colour plastic structure at the left side under the riders seat, below the fibre part just where the side fairing ends.

On the right side you'll find the rear brake fluid level.

Do not get it lubed at those SVCs. The standard rate is 80rupees.

Instead buy a motul cleaner+lube kit for 960 bucks. Lasts 15 liberal sprays and works out cheaper.

                      And yes, do complain.

This is one of the finest chain spray available in the country. Works well and delivers excellent. Just the cost is bit high but overall performance is top notch.

And yes they are same, the Yamalube is all Motul in disguise.

I was charged Rs. 100 for chain cleaning and 100 for lubing during 1st service. Rs.200 in total
                            and 250 for coolant top-up!

If possible, bend down on your knees, and look under the left fairing. You can see the marks reading min and full/max. I've seen the marks but don't remember the exact words. Also you can use a mirror to do the same, if you have a tough time bending!

Yep! They do use Motul chain lube and clean spray!

Will it be OK, if I purchase my own chain cleaner, lube and coolant and give them to use while servicing?

This is the 2nd time your stealing my thoughts!! I exactly had the same thing in my mind, going in to my 1st service..

I think that should be fine as long as chain cleaning and lubing is done in front of you...Else you never know how many chains your spray and lube cans would massage

I thought about it after being charged Rs.200 for chain cleaning and Lube
                                and Rs.250 for coolant top-up!

Had thought about it earlier, but thought the SVCs would be fair..
