If you are planning for a small road trip of about 100-150kms overall then go n enjoy the ride n just follow the manual.
there is no problem with the 600kms trip as your first service is on or before 7th April n you will go for the trip by the end of April.
for both trip
* do not stick to the same RPM for a long time.
* Give it a rest of about 10 mins min after every 30 kms.
* Bro, the last one from my side,as this beauty is new to you and you new to this so please do not rev hard now , first understand each other

Its perfectly fine taking bike for a long trip for running-in as long as you remain within the limts..In fact I had also gone for a 600km trip (Mumbai to Surat and back) to complete runnin-in on highway...I had selected the route only because there was no ghat involved which would have stressed the engine.
Stick to Rpm limits as per manual.
Dont drive on the same rpm, keep varying it constantly.
Dont rev hard.
Most important thing..Keep changing gears at regular intervals even if it means driving at speeds of 20-30kmph also. This will ensure that power delivery is distributed for all gears.
Take a break of 10 mins after every 40-45 mins of driving to avoid engine overheating.

I too got ma bike on the same day( mar-7th)... Mom says it very auspicious day...
Long ride about 600 kms is not acceptable for a new bike during run in..
I have completed 760 and have not done more than 30 kms at a stretch....

Hey guys went to the dealer yesterday to enquire on how soon can i get the bike .. Initially asked for a blue .. but changed it to a sunset red .. still have to wait for 45 days ...

.. Lets see how soon can i get it ... hoping for the best !!!
