Nice road is equally good as the elevated highway and has the advantage of being way broader giving you the advantage of avoiding traffic instead of slowing down with every car or vehicle you face ahead. There is a smaller stretch of NICE road from Electronic City to Banerghatta. Once in, you have the advantage of going up and down the stretch to test the speed multiple times.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Post

Now that we've got an answer, we shall get an RX 135 stand for now!Originally posted by TeeJayy View PostA DIY will require a center/ paddock stand, which neither shreyas nor I have currently.
Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you'll be turning more heads than we do here as yours is a 3 lakh+ bike!Originally posted by asjbrana View PostAll:
I am a new owner of sunset-red r15 v2.0
I have been following this forum since my research period and it has definitely helped me prepare to be a better owner of this awesome bike! Finally after a month of waiting time after booking the bike, I got my hands on this machine and this is just a magnificent piece of machinery; smooth, awesome looks and amazing performance.
Here are couple pictures and don't mind the red number plate, its because I am from Nepal, but thank you all for the posts and heads up, and I will definitely share my experiences here.
Now thats effin helpful! Thanks buddy.Originally posted by suraj_vanse View Post1. rx 135 stand and the rod .Costs 190.
2.See the 2 holes near the monoshock??We need to insert the rod through these holes
3.like this
4.fits perfect through the holes.
5.pull holding this
Thats it. Now u can clean the chain , lube the chain, adjust slackness,check for rim bend etc .
To remove ,place the bike on side stand and jus pull the rod.I guess its very evident in the pics itself

Yeah you do have to pay a lot!Originally posted by asjbrana View PostIt costs Rs 3 lakhs 19 thousand NPR (Nepali Rupees)
1 INR (Indian Rupees) = 1.6 NPR (Nepali Rupees)
which comes to 199,375 INR
We have to pay a lot extra because of government taxes both ways.

I hope the income there is also 1.6 times compared to the income here (Same level, post etc. and stuff I mean)
I had thought about this! But my SVC guy said no need, and its troublesome while riding..Originally posted by abhisheksircar View PostThere is an available setup for main stand for R15 v2.0 from Yamaha although the one Suraj has posted is cheaper and looks effective.
Part Number || Item Description || Price (INR)
3C1F71110000 || Main Stand || 597
3C1F71120000 || Main Stand, Shaft || 60
905063500300 || Spring Tension || 116
914012001 || Split Pin || 2
I have the one that I have mentioned in my bike and it gels very well with the bike. I have put it for two primary reasons. Getting the bike cleaned is easier and rough terrains. Steady in most terrains. Fixing the stand is not something that I could do on a daily basis, putting it in and out and hence have put it as a permanent solution. The only problem while putting it is the Spring Tension. Either I did it in the wrong way or it is indeed not easy to do it.
So you mean after the free services, you can use 6 more free services or what?Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostIts worth Rs777/-.
I got it mainly cuz one guy here on xbhp had his engine conked after 2 years and 2 days from the date of purchase. He had to shell a big amount to get it fixed as the warranty had expired juz 2 days ago.
Best part is it comes with 6 free services to be used alternately with 6 paid services.

AFAIK, its just plain "RoaD". Rest of the definitions are "Made in India!"Originally posted by shadab007 View PostPardon me if i am wrong but i think its "Race Derived".

Help!
What I've observed is a similar stuff!Originally posted by suraj_vanse View PostDo u feel harshness on the handle bar? I too am facing the same. Vibrations and the harshness starts once i cross the 7k mark.bike was smooth till 1500 kms ,Post that i have bin facing this.Present odo is 3800km.Could anyone throw some light on this??Can improper valve clearance lead to insanely rough engine??
Not vibrations on the handle bar, but At ~7K RPM, some niggling sound from under the tank. I doubt Engine; sounds something like piston rings..
Also at 5K some roughness. Mine is 1600 on the ODO and I noticed it since ~1500 on the ODO.
Kindly help!Money can get a 1942 BSA these days, but even Warren Buffet's whole Bank account can't get us our leg back!

No harshness, no roughness. Only vibrations are there. Forget 7.5k rpm, I didn't even got to >5k rpm. The tank vibrates.Originally posted by suraj_vanse View PostDo u feel harshness on the handle bar? Help for my friend
My friend recently bought an used R15 V2. The guy who sold the bike did not do his first service and right now the odo meter reads at 2000. The Actual prob is my friend rode around 400 kms From Madurai to Mysore at speeds of 80-100 kmph. He came to know that service was not done just today.
What damage would have already been done to the engine? What can he do to avoid further damage?

Tighten all the allen bolts and other screws with the tool kit.There are 2 allen bolts in the front end of the tank near the cone.check on that. 2 other such bolts holding the tank near the rider seat which cannot be seen until u remove the rider seat.Also check on the fuel cap bolts.Originally posted by cheerfulari View PostNo harshness, no roughness. Most of you all must be using this machine in the city or for touring..
So anyone took it offroading??
We did...Midnight offroading to Telbaila (Check link here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...-lonavala.html )
And all pictures at one go here - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3803381&type=1

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels,scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Got my 3rd service done at 6020 on odo..Switched to fully synthetic oil - Motul 300v 15w50 Grade...The mechanic said FS is not recommended for R15 as it might lead to clutch slippage but then inquired from a couple of guys who told me to go ahead with FS so went for it..
Cost - 985.
Anybody else here who has switched to FS?
Will post in a couple of days if I find any performance difference or any other difference...

Get the service done. Dont mention nothing about not having done the 1st service.
Tell the service guy the engine has bad pick-up and horrific mileage. The 1st thing he'll do is check for the seals on the piston rings. He'll handle the rest.
Incase there's a tiff in the engine, the whole piston block will need replacement. Fight for it under warranty. Good luck.
Why did the 1st owner sell it?__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______
